Sullivan Cutting Edge Frosted 6.5x24.5 Ruler, Clear

After reading the other reviews I decided to purchase this product.It really does sharpen your rotary blade as you cut. It just takes several cuts for you to notice that your blade is staying sharp.Since Rotary blades are so expensive And time consuming to change out, I find this product to be very practical.

This is my second one. I wore my first one out. I love it as I can see all the increment measurements; the metal helps keep my rotary blade sharp and it truly works.

DO NOT BUY! The diamond powder sharpening edge causes so much friction when used with a rotary cutter that there's not way to keep the ruler from shifting while cutting. Also instead of sharpening my rotary blade, it damaged the blade after only a few swipes. Brand new rotary blade is now dull and unusable for fabric.

Don't like frosting

I have many, many quilt rulers by all the makers but this is my absolute favorite along with their 6.5 x 6.5 Cutting EDGE ruler!! It sharpens your blades with EVERY USE just like it says!!! The only rotary cutter and blades I TRULY LOVE and I (now) use is the 'GINGHER", and their blades last practically forever!!!!! Unlike ALL the others which poop out and are useless after an hour of cutting-and that's if you're lucky!! But now my Gingher blades, (I have 10 from before I found these sharpening rulers), truly will last FOREVER!!!!!!!!!! Wonderful job to SULLIVAN & GINGHER!!!!!

When the cutting edge ruler arrived, I put a brand new blade in my rotary cutter. One that is advertised to last 5X longer than the "regular" blades. I was using it to cut up T-shirts to make infinity scarves. I used this ruler, with the new blade, and before the tenth T-shirt was done the brand new blade had dulled to the point where I had to run the blade three or four times over the t-shirts, applying a lot of pressure in order to get the blade to cut through the fabric. Very disappointed.

Very nice ruler! I would highly recommend it. It just recently got it, so it's hard to say if it actually helps your blade last longer, but I think it does help because with all of the cutting I have already done with this ruler, I should've normally already changed my blade a few times. It also helps to flip your blade around to the other side once in a while, and so far that's all I've had to do since I got this ruler. I think this ruler will save me some money.

This product was packaged very well. It arrived a little later than I wanted it to, but I gave it 5 stars because I love it and it works extremely well.Good Job and thanks so much!
