These scissors have held up well after using them for a few weeks. They are sharp and cut smoothly, and for the price I would say they are better quality than I expected. They are also nice and lightweight which is a nice benefit. Great scissors, I would get them again when I need a new pair.

I tried sharpening an old pair of scissors and messed them up, so I got this Acurit 8-in Multipurpose Comfort Grip Stainless Steel Office Scissors. These Acurit are lightweight and thinner than my old pair of scissors. Don't expect to get a $30 pair of scissors when you get these $7 pair of Acurit scissors. These thin Acurit scissors do the job and that is the important thing. I have only used them a half dozen times and they work well. I am right handed and these scissors work well in my right hand, even though they are left hand scissors. I needed a basic set of scissors and that is exactly what this is. Not quite as well built as name brand scissors, but they work just find. I have used to cut paper and open Amazon packages.

Review for Acurit 8" Multipurpose Scissors: These scissors aren't fancy, the fit and finish of the handles is not exceptional. No one is going to think you have the most elegant pair of scissors in the office or shop. I'm not left-handed, but the scissors are symmetrical in design, and seem comfortable enough in my left hand. The important thing: they cut well. They're sharp, and the cutting surfaces align well, and work, from the very base of the blades to the very tip. They handle paper well, and breeze through medium-weight cardstock like it was thin paper. I can cut smooth curves with no issue, and straight lines with no problem. Basically, this is what I look for in a pair of scissors: that they work well, and that they don't look so fancy that they get 'borrowed' permanently. These will do.

When these scissors advertise that they are left hand friendly, they just mean that the scissors have no real finger curve to speak of at all which makes it easy to use either hand for cutting. The scissors work just fine on paper and did okay with felt cutting as well so they work for most everyday craft uses.

These are perfectly adequate scissors. They feel solid, comfortable, and lightweight in the hand and the blades are sharp, with no issues cutting through paper or being used to break down cardboard boxes. They'll do the job for basic fabric cutting, but they're not as sharp and precise as dedicated fabric scissors that I've used, so for smaller detailed cutting you'll still want specialized scissors. These are just basic workhorse scissors; for everyday household use I can't see there being any issues with these.

I know these are an inexpensive pair of scissors, but they do also feel cheap and thin. While they do the job and are sharp right out of the packaging, I would look for a different pair if I needed another pair of scissors.
