Had this a year now and very pleased with it. It was a steal at the time with a discounted offer at £320. It is now £499 but at that price still a bargain. Memory prices have shot up lately as have some components. It does everything I want, I am not a gamer but do edit photos and video and this does it well. very compact with all the connections that I require. The WiFi works well when needed. Easy to set up for own style and use. It has been well used and has never missed a beat. I am not an expert user but just know what I need to do and this unit fits the bill. Takes up no space at all. I have not fitted it behind my monitor as I prefer to have it to the side of my desk on a small shelf. It is silent in operation on the lower setting and mid setting and only just audible on the higher setting. Everything just connects and runs what more can I say. This to be honest has exceeded my expectations.

This MiniPC (GMKtec Desktop PC Computer 5825U M5 Plus) came with really nice packaging like the last two GMKtec mini PCs I bought. Easy access to the internals, just 4 screws to remove after taking the lid off. 2 x M.2 slots so plenty of room for expansion. Great to have twin 2.5Gb network adapters if you wanted to use it as a router also. They are both Realtek NICs but you can’t have everything I guess! 😊 Comes with Windows 11 Pro, preinstalled, not bloatware at all – other than some of the crap that Microsoft includes these days! 😊 It has three performance profiles accessible in the BIOS. Performance, Balanced and Quite. It’s quite noisy in performance mode, for perhaps 12% more speed. Peak power draw in that mode seemed to be about 48W (25W TDP for the CPU). Balanced is a good compromise, not too noisy and decent performance. Quiet reduces the power available to the CPU (I think max 15W TDP) and definitely stays quiet. In PC Mark 10 I didn’t see it go above 24W draw from the plug in Balanced mode. In terms of results, I got 6145 in performance, 5231 in balanced and 4714 in quiet. If you wanted to use this as a server which is something I’m seriously considering, then it does seem to be a good candidate in terms of the idle power draw. In Windows 11 when Idle it sits at about 6W in the Balanced profile from the BIOS. I got similar results when testing out Unraid 7 on it. Obviously if you are running background services you are going to get spikes in power draw. I haven’t tested it with two NVMe SSD’s yet, but that loadout may increase it a little. I suppose the only drawback there would be the limited storage capacity, but 4TB NVMe drives are getting cheaper, and I guess you could even go for an 8TB drive, but they are still quite pricey. A shame there wasn’t a way of putting a 2.5” Sata caddy in there as well I guess. Not really a prime candidate for gaming, but still a decent iGPU (Radeon Vega 8). Certainly capable of playing less demanding games, just not at 4K! 1080p is fine though. I just tried out Mechanicus (A Warhammer 40K strategy game) and I believe that uses the unreal engine. A few years old now but it played great on here. That was at 1080p resolution. I’m sure it would play Minecraft at 1080p quite well also. My son now wants it for his bedroom as it’s definitely faster than is old Ryzen 3 laptop which is about 4 years old now. The good thing is, it’s quite flexible in what you can do with it, and can be had much cheaper if you already have some ram and an SSD to put in it, going for the barebones option. Especially good if you don’t need Windows and would rather put something like Ubuntu or Mint on it. The only negative I can think of really is the fact that GMKtec don’t make new BIOS updates available to download any more. I went for this after the good experience with the last two GMKtec mini PCs I bought (one was an Intel N100 unit) and the other was a Ryzen 3 based unit. I think the N100 NucBoxG3 definitely ran more quietly than the two Ryzen based units, but it’s quite limited in terms of RAM (single channel and only one slot) and also quite limited in terms of the PCIe lanes it has, so the storage was quite slow in comparison to these Ryzen based models. Plenty of models and options to pick from though. I’m seriously considering replacing my main PC with one of the newer high end offerings with the very good integrated RDNA 3 GPU’s though. Tiny footprint, but a hell of a lot of power! In conclusion though, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy a GMKtec Mini PC in the future.

Upgraded from a GMKtec G3 Plus, and I'm really pleased with the G11. It feels like a noticeable step-up in performance, with the more powerful CPU, bigger fan and bigger heat sink helping it run smoothly and stay cooler under load. Setup was quick, Windows 11 Pro was pre-installed, and everything felt responsive straight away for everyday work, streaming, and light multitasking. Other options I've tried felt sluggish when navigating the Windows UI. I also tested it against my G3 Plus and the difference is noticeable. Multicore performance is better, and the GPU performance is a nice step-up too. The CPU feels roughly comparable to older desktop chips like the Intel i3-9100 / i5-7600, which is impressive for a compact mini PC. The dual-channel RAM is a great addition and helps with overall responsiveness. The dual 2.5G LAN ports are excellent, especially for networking, Docker containers, and self-hosting projects. Wi-Fi 6E is also a great upgrade if you don't want it hard-wired. I also like the practical design — the tool-less access makes it easy to get to the RAM and storage. There is a teardown video by GMKtec, and it's great if you ever need to repaste. Overall, the G11 feels like a more powerful and capable mini PC compared to the G3 Plus, while still being compact and quiet. Great value for anyone looking for a small desktop replacement, home server, or self-hosting setup.

I bought this GMKtec mini PC to replace a different brand’s unit that failed just two months in. This one’s been running strong for nearly four months now — daily use, no issues. Performance-wise, it delivers exactly what I expected based on the specs. It’s quiet enough for an office setting, runs cool, and hasn’t caused any trouble. So far, I’m genuinely happy with it. 🔻 Why 4 stars, not 5? The included VESA mount is a bit of a joke. It’s just a flat rectangular frame with two screw holes. While you can attach it to the back of a VESA-compatible monitor, the PC itself doesn’t fit the mount properly — it has small screw holes on the bottom, but they don’t align with the frame. In the end, I had to just rest the unit on the mount using its rubber feet, which means the weight is hanging on friction alone — not ideal, especially with cables pulling on it. 📸 I’ve included photos to show the design and the issue. If you plan to mount it out of sight — factor that in or be ready to DIY a better bracket. That said, the PC itself is a solid bit of kit, and I’d buy it again — just not for the VESA mounting.

We bought this to replace my wife's ageing office PC which won't upgrade to Win11. I bought myself a mini PC from GMKtec about a year ago, so I knew and trusted the brand, but I spent a long time looking at other manufacturers and specs until I was confident that this was the one to buy and the best value for money. Neither of us play games on our computers but I wanted to buy a PC that would cope easily with all the applications we use and would be 'future proof' against the day that Win12 comes along. It arrived within 18 hours of ordering, beautifully packaged, and the set-up was super easy, taking about 20 minutes to update to the very latest version of Win11 Pro. I was pleased by the complete absence of 'bloatware. It runs silently and cool - I deliberately chose the AMD Ryzen 7 processor because of its tiny power consumption. So far its done absolutely everything I've asked of it, including DTP, video editing and office applications, and I'm very happy with the number of ports - though I'm not sure that I'll need the second ethernet connection. Overall then, I'm super happy with this excellent little PC which is great value for money and has met all my expectations. UPDATE! Their customer support is truly dreadful. I have dead PC and have spent the past month trying to communicate with them. They simply don't despond. Hugely frustrating and hugely disappointing. I strongly recommend NOT buying from this company.

Update 2: Had a buzzing noise and then just blackout! Contacted the seller and in less then 2 hours have responded with few suggestions and troubleshooting. Unfortunately found the CPU burned due the poor overflow, just replaced it and the motherboard, applied a bigger fan instead of top cover and getting better airflow. Update: I had a faulty RAM and contacted the customer service who promptly responded. I have been offered the cost of the RAM. Great customer service and very efficient. To keep the pc a bit cooler I suggest to mount a fan at the top, just removed the top cover and stick a case fan, keeps 10-15° down the temps. The pc is great! Playing F1 24 in medium sets, open and run Bluestack without issues. The only pain is Windows that's useless as always and running 50% of the ram for nothing. Swapped with Linux I got 14 GB ram available. The possibility to use 3 screens is great, 1 HDMI, 1DP and 1 Usb-c with the DP Adapter. Bluetooth is way better than a tower PC, I have a Lenovo T5 that has many issues with WiFi and Bluetooth, the mini pc is great as has 2 LAN and I'm using 1 for downloading and one for uploading. In general is nice hard case, runs quick, silent and feels heavy.

GMK Tek make good mini PCs but are nearly impossible to reset, and there customer service is the worst I have ever encountered

With limited space in my small bedroom, I needed a compact solution to pair with a wall-mounted 4K TV. After some searching, I found the GMKtec AMD Ryzen 7 Mini PC running Windows 11, and it’s been outstanding. Setup was effortless, and once I installed and configured my many apps, I was impressed by how responsive it is. Despite its tiny footprint, it offers a generous range of connectivity options. I use a wireless keyboard with a built-in trackpad to keep things tidy and reduce clutter, which works perfectly in the space. This mini PC has truly exceeded my expectations.

Ce petit boîtier mini a remplacé la tour de mon ordinateur. Je n y croyais pas. Vitesse d'enregistrement, en 1 clic, tout change de page, et puis, nombres de dossiers à y mettre, photos etc..merveilleux. Peut être pas fait pour des jeux en ligne, mais pour la famille!! Top..je fais même fonctionner un site avec plus de rapidité que ma tour qui n acceptait pas Windows 11.

Been using this to run Plex for the last 6 months. Flawlessly handles two 4k in-house streams and have had no issues with it. Doesn't make a sound, albeit a bit hot on touch. Definitely recommend!

Nach einigen Tagen Testen hat mich der GMKtec M3 Pro insgesamt positiv überrascht (allen voran die Lautstärke des Lüfters im Idle bzw. leichter Tätigkeit). Lieferumfang: VESA-Halterung, HDMI-Kabel und Netzteil mit Stromkabel Der Mini-PC ist sehr kompakt, leicht und wirkt hochwertig verarbeitet. Der Rahmen besteht rundherum aus Metall/Aluminium und vermittelt einen stabilen, wertigen Eindruck, während der obere Deckel aus Kunststoff gefertigt ist. Trotz der kompakten Bauform wirkt das Gerät nicht billig oder instabil. Auch die Anschlussausstattung gefällt mir grundsätzlich gut. An der Vorderseite befinden sich 2x USB-A, auf der Rückseite 2x HDMI, 1x USB-C, 2x USB-A, 1x RJ-45 LAN 2,5Gbit, 1x Klinke sowie der Stromanschluss. Mein einziger wirklicher Kritikpunkt betrifft genau diesen Bereich: Ein USB-C-Anschluss an der Front wäre meiner Meinung nach sinnvoll gewesen, beispielsweise für schnelle Datenträger, Smartphones oder Security-Keys. Positiv hervorzuheben ist die Wartbarkeit bzw. Aufrüstbarkeit. Die Unterseite lässt sich über vier Schrauben öffnen, ohne dass man Gummifüße entfernen oder Klebeteile lösen muss – die Schrauben sind sauber darin versenkt. Nach dem Öffnen gelangt man schnell an RAM und SSD. In meinem Gerät verbaut waren 16GB RAM (2x8GB DDR4-3200 von Crucial, also keine generischen No-Name-Module), maximal sind 64GB (also 2x32GB) möglich. SSD ist eine 512GB NVMe (TWSC PCIe Gen3x4, wobei ein Upgrade auf eine PCIe 4.0 im 2280er Steckplatz möglich ist) inklusive Kühlkörper. Zusätzlich steht noch ein weiterer M.2-Slot zur Verfügung (dieser aber nur in einer 2242er länge), was zukünftige Speichererweiterungen erleichtert. Auch bei WLAN/Bluetooth setzt GMKtec nicht ausschließlich auf völlig unbekannte Hardware: verbaut ist eine CDTECH-Karte mit Realtek RTL8852BE Chipsatz (WiFi 6 / Bluetooth 5.2). Leistungstechnisch spielt der M3 Pro mit seinem Intel Core i5-13500H klar oberhalb vieler typischer günstiger Office-Mini-PCs. Browser-Multitasking, Office-Arbeiten, Medienwiedergabe und allgemeine Produktivitätsaufgaben liefen absolut flüssig. Auch bei mehreren geöffneten Anwendungen gleichzeitig hatte ich nie das Gefühl, dass das System an seine Grenzen stößt. In CPU-Z erreichte das Gerät in meinem Test rund 727 Punkte im Single-Thread- und etwa 4342 Punkte im Multi-Thread-Test. Auch die SSD-Leistung passt gut zum Gesamteindruck. Die verbaute NVMe-SSD erreichte in CrystalDiskMark ungefähr 2,3 GB/s Lesen sowie rund 2,2 GB/s Schreiben. Das ist zwar keine absolute High-End-PCIe-Gen4-SSD (wie aber bereits erwähnt, kann man auf eine PCIe-Gen4 aufrüsten, aber nur im 2280er Steckplatz), aber für Alltag, Produktivität, Multitasking und auch anspruchsvollere Nutzungsszenarien vollkommen ausreichend. Positiv fiel außerdem auf, dass die SSD trotz kompakter Bauweise inklusive Kühlkörper arbeitet und in meinen Tests thermisch unauffällig blieb. Besonders positiv überrascht hat mich das Geräuschverhalten. Ich bin bei Mini-PCs relativ empfindlich, was Lüftergeräusche betrifft, und habe im BIOS direkt das Profil „QUIET“ aktiviert (alternativ stehen noch „Balanced“ und „High Performance“ zur Verfügung). Im Idle ist das Gerät praktisch kaum hörbar – selbst in ruhiger Umgebung musste ich mich teilweise bewusst darauf konzentrieren, überhaupt etwas wahrzunehmen. Wenn der Lüfter hörbar wird, erzeugt er ein angenehm gleichmäßiges Geräusch ohne hochfrequentes Surren, Pfeifen oder störende Nebengeräusche. Unter höherer Last dreht er natürlich auf, bleibt dabei aber aus meiner Sicht gut kontrollierbar. Im direkten Vergleich empfand ich ihn deutlich angenehmer als manche andere Mini-PCs, die ich bisher verwendet habe. Zusätzlich habe ich Ubuntu Desktop getestet, da für mich Linux-Kompatibilität ebenfalls relevant ist. Der Ubuntu Live-Boot funktionierte ohne Probleme. WLAN und Bluetooth wurden sofort erkannt, inklusive direkter Kopplung mit einem Bluetooth-Lautsprecher. Auch ein 4K60fps-YouTube-Video inklusive Audio lief problemlos. Selbst unter einem kombinierten Stress-Test mit gleichzeitiger CPU-, RAM- und Storage-Belastung blieb das System überraschend souverän: die CPU erreichte maximal rund 76 °C, die NVMe-SSD ungefähr 40 °C, während die Lautstärke weiterhin absolut akzeptabel blieb. Fazit: Der GMKtec M3 Pro hat mich insgesamt positiv überrascht. Leistungsstarke Hardware, gute Wartbarkeit, solide Aufrüstbarkeit, sehr gute Linux-Kompatibilität und vor allem ein für einen kompakten Mini-PC überraschend angenehmes Geräuschverhalten. Bis auf den fehlenden USB-C-Port an der Vorderseite habe ich aktuell wenig zu kritisieren.
