I ordered this mattress for my brother. He is very pleased with this mattress. He says it is firm, which is good because he likes a firm mattress. I ordered this more as a topper for his bed for the cooling gel for him for summer. That cooling gel layer keeps him more comfortable when the temperatures are warmer.

My son hates his current mattress--it's too hard and uncomfortable. I saw this and got the idea that instead of buying a whole new mattress that maybe I could put this on top, sort of like a mattress topper. This mattress comes in a box and fills out when you remove it from packaging. It has a faint smell that dissipates quickly. It's soft (no fiberglass!!), with cooling gel and removable top that can be washed. This worked fine as a topper--at 5" it works--or as a backup mattress on a guest bed, camper or maybe bunk beds, but for as a standalone mattress for an adult, I don't know how long this would work.

My son really liked it from the first night he used it! He usually gets out of bed pretty well, but it was a little tougher that first day! He's a pretty warm sleeper, so he's noticed the cooling effect he said too. It's shorter than his previous, which is perfect for his upper bunk!

We've got a 9 year old that did not want to sleep on the top bunk because it was too close to the ceiling. We replaced the old 12" twin mattress we had put up there with this 5" and he thinks it is great. I don't know how I would feel about sleeping on a 5" mattress, but he only weighs 80 pounds and is not going to bottom out on it. It's good for this use.

Being just a 5 inch thick mattress, this is only good for certain uses. It's great for twin bunk beds and camping trailers or recreational vehicles. The mattress is made of only layers of foam and the top can be easily removed fir washing. It's not a mattress I would recommend for an adult to use every day.

Nice and thick, very soft, no weird smells, cooling gel, soft but mushy, a good price~~!!~~ what's not to love~!~?~

This is a nice little basic mattress, it's soft, it's cool, it's cooling. Definitely good value for the price.
