Bandai #130 RGM-96X Jesta 1/144 High Grade Universal Century

This is by far my favorite kit i've built. Its a bit more challenging than most of the HG kits I've built. I wouldn't recommend it as an introductory kit to Gunpla but after you build a few and get familiar with Gunpla i would pick this one up. It looks amazing and (this might be me) seems to be more articulated than some other kits that I own especially the legs. I love the beam rifle this kit comes with it's one of my favorite stock weapons. The joints are all very strong on the Jesta so you could add some other weapons to it no problem which in some of the pics you can see I've added a few extras

Great kit, not too difficult to build, high quality construction. The plastic this model is made from feels substantial unlike flimsy older model kits. The completed model is sturdy, easy to achieve many interesting poses without arms or other bits coming off. Only issue is the missiles on the shield; they're pictured as being different colored but are the same grey color as the piece they're sculpted from.

The 4th Gundam model that I have built, this one is really great. It went together fairly easily and looks great. I'm personally not a fan of using very many stickers, or i this case of this model, no stickers at all, since my hands are big and they're hard to put on. I do love the color of this one, a very deep, dark blue and the Beam Carbine is definitely my favorite Gundam weapon so far.

If you're a fan of the jesta there is no reason you should not purchase this kit, it's faithful and easy to assemble, and the only component requiring any sort of paint is the white on the shield making it a very well done kit on Bandai's part. I myself am not a jesta fan but this was my first gunpla kit to get me started, and I did like the military aesthetic this suit sports. My only complaint about the suit is its simplicity in coloration, which is a very very subjective complaint. To anyone else who likes the 3 shades of blue this suit has this is a must buy, but I myself found it to be bland when I finished construction.

I reviewed another Jesta and am just as thrilled with this one. This one doesn't come with as many weapons but it is a very close build to the other one. My son put this one together and it took him a few hours but it looks great. Still has great articulation, nice accessories, and is durable.

I bought this for my son and he loved it. He finished building it by the end of the night. Great quality plastic and easy to follow instructions.

Great looking model, reminds me of a cross between Pacific Rim's Gypsy Danger and Halo's Master Chief. It was a relatively quick build, not as complicated as the 1/144 Gundam 00 (possibly due to the Jesta only having a few weapon choices - rifle and shield or 2 beam swords).Minor complaints:It's darker in person than it appears in pictures, there's not much contrast, as many parts are navy-on-navy, and there are only a couple lighter grey bits that show through. Also the shield hangs off the backpack rather than attaching to the arm, which limits it's posing.

Its a very well done kit, especially if you're just building it straight out of the box with great articulation and a look evocative of special forces or SWAT teams.5/5
