Good Bonsai soil
This is exactly what I expected and just what I needed. The local nurseries do not carry bonsai products so it was good to be able to order and have it arrive quickly.

So far so good
Overall I'm happy with this bonsai soil. The quality appears good although most of it is coarser than I expected. At first inspection it almost looks as if there is no fine organic components mixed in, but there are.Firstly a lot of it settles to the bottom of the bag. Because of this the soil should be thoughly mixed or blended to get even distribution of all of the components. Secondly the finer stuff is just harder to see when it is dry.So far I have used it for repotting 2 junipers with no problems. The plants seem to be doing fine. The soil does seem to retain moisture while allowing excess water to drain away.I have a small negative note on the packaging. The ziplock strip on the bag has very thin groves and is virtually impossible to reseal. Since the bag is quite big I had leftovers that I wanted to keep safe and dry.
