Works well, lots of options
I really like the option to hang it with the magnet or hang it with the hook. Very handy and the hook folds in to the base flush with the surface. There are lots of options…which doesn’t suit me completely, because I have to push the button 6 times to cycle through them all when I want to turn the light on and then off. But it works well and I’m happy with it. I use it in a closet in a room without much light.

Can't wait to take it camping.
Got this lamp today, and put 3 AA batteries in it to test out. Works great. The batteries are easy to install, the light portion simply twists off and teh batteries are held in the light side of the unit.It has a small (very small) button on top to turn it on. This gets an LED brightness light. Another press and you get a softer amber light. (Tried to show that, but it didn't come out quite right). Another press gets you a bright light. Another press and you get a red light. And one final press gets you a blinking red light.Press it one last time to turn it off.It has a nice little hanging hook that should work easily in the top of a tent. Would easily recommend this. It's not too heavy for backpacking, but might be a bit bulky depending what else is in your pack.
