Excellent product!
Works great! Easy tutorial! Sharpened 6 pairing knives in 10-15 mins, easily saved me $50 already. It’s sturdy and simple, no burrs or defects left in the blades. I’ve only used the 15 degree angle so far but fully confident all angles will do well.

Excellent product
This sharpener does an excellent job on my knives. It's easy to use and the result is great. It brought life to old knives.

Worth the cost!
Easy to use, works with most of my knives, and keeps them super sharp. Just be careful when using because the magnet is really strong and takes effort to detach the knife blade.

Great for home chef
The media could not be loaded. Sharpens great, works perfectly for a quick sharpen in your home kitchen. Much better results than any pull through sharpener Ive tried. The stone is pretty rough so you wont get that shaving sharp edge, but you will be plenty sharp enough for effortless tomato slicing. The stainless steel side doesnt take off the burr very well, it just bends it to the other side leaving you trying to deburr 1 side then the other then back to the first side a few times. Stropping on jeans or cardboard (or an actual leather strop obviously) works fine.Easy 5 stars if it had the ceramic disc or an included strop like the more expensive Horls. The knife in the video was sharpened over a month ago and used almost every day since then

Quickly and easily makes my knives sharper than they’ve ever been!
I’m not a knife-sharpening expert or fanatic, but I like my kitchen knives to be sharp. I’ve had a couple of other sharpeners, but I was never able to get my knives consistently as sharp as I wanted them. However, the HORL 3 Cruise was different from any sharpener I’ve ever used. The first thing I noticed is how easy it is to use. You place the block that holds the knife on a surface like an old cutting board, then move the knife near it and the strong magnets grab it and hold it firmly in place. You have an easy choice between either a 20 or 15 degree angle so you can get exactly the sharpening angle you want. Then you grab the roller and gently roll the grinder edge against the knife blade. Once you have the edge as sharp as you want (the instructions give a nice tip on how you can tell), you flip the roller and use the stainless steel side to smooth the edge. The magnetic block and the roller are both easy to hold and quite comfortable to use. They’re also made of plastic that was in or was destined for the ocean, so it’s a nice ecological touch, too. They feel as if they will also be very durable. This sharpener works very well, and it’s very quick. I was able to put an accurate 15 degree angle on 6 knives in about 15 minutes. My knives are sharper than they’ve ever been, it was easier to get them that way than anything I’ve ever used…and the sharpener cost quite a bit less than other sharpeners that didn’t work as well.I’m glad I got this, quite satisfied with my choice.

Perfect for me and most likely you, too. Here's why.
I am sure, that in a perfect world, where I had all the time I wanted, I would have a set of whetstones of varying grits ready to go to sharpen my knives. Perhaps my man servant would be fetching them and soaking them for me at my directive? They would make sure that my dedicated sharpening set up was ready for me so that I could meticulously move from larger grit blocks to smaller ones and using the stroking and passing techniques I had mastered over hundreds of hours, to achieve the perfect edge and knife nirvana. So in my reality, I am an enthusiastic home chef who cooks multiple times every day for my family and then occasionally notices, why the $%^^% is dicing this onion so hard today?I have a Wusthof Classic 8" Chef's, 4" Paring and large Butcher Knife. I also have a Hedley Bennett 8" Chef's. I use the 20 degree side as its the closest to their manufacturing angle specs.I was not sure that the HORL3 Cruise would work out. Would the main grit be too rough/fast? Would it take too long? Would this system $%^^%-Up my knives?I am pleased to say, that this dead easy system is a minor miracle for mere mortals who simply want to get on with their meal prep and by extension, the rest of their lives. The grit is just fine. You feel/hear it when using the rough grit disc and at first it may alarm you as being too aggressive. For my knives it takes like 12-18 rolls on each side with the rough and then 20 or so on the honing disc to finish it up and achieve a fantastic sharp edge.To my eye, the edge looks really good after. Is it perfect? Well the knives slice easily through grapes and tomatoes, and of course those freakin onions effortlessly. And my knives aren't $%^^%-UpI highly recommend this system. At least try it for yourself. Get the crappiest knife you have. Heck, borrow your friends or neighbors crappiest knives and do all of them. You'll see.One of the best purchases I've made for myself in 2025. The product quality is excellent. The magnets are strong and the manufacturing is well done. For the Butcher knife, I put the roller on a wood cutting board so the HORL would work with the larger blade. For the tiny 4" paring knife, I didn't need to do anything special in the set up.I love the product.

Simple but results.. just ok.
Followed the instructions which say to mark the edge with a felt tip marker. Hard to find ont like they use in the demo that leaves a clean line. I have done my knives a few times and they are sharper, but not like they show in their video. Also hard to sharpen the tips on most of the knives. It is easy to roll the sharpener back and forth. I do like the size being small they just should have had an indent in the top of the holder to keep the roller in place for putting it away. I think it is overpriced, you can get better results from a cheaper sharpener.

Good quality
Works perfectly! Sharpens a knife really quickly. Don’t settle for any brand but horl; horl makes them the right way. This is one of their cheaper models but the quality is the same as their more expensive wood ones.
