Great for my MAME cabinet
The media could not be loaded. After many years, my old trackball finally stopped working. I chose this replacement because it seemed identical to the one I had, and indeed, it fit perfectly, making the exchange effortless. I already owned the mounting kit from the previous one, which is necessary if you don't have it. My old trackball had a 5V LED powered by my Ultimarc board, but this new one required a 12V input for the LED, which posed a challenge. Not wanting to purchase the expensive option from this seller, I searched through my electronics and repurposed an old 12V 1.5 amp charger. After some cutting and using shrink tubing, my trackball lit up with vibrant colors. The picture shows my makeshift solution and the trackball installed in my MAME cabinet. I'm quite satisfied with this purchase; the trackball operates smoothly and performs excellently.

This was just too cool!
So yes the leds are awesome! It was a quick and easy install after we got the right play field cut! Used no bracket here! i am not a track ball user but this one felt very good in the golf games I got to test it on. The customer really loves it! Will buy another one soon for our demo kit! Hope to sell more this add on really makes the retro cabs come alive!

Doesn't include mounting bracket or LED power supply.
This is a solid quality trackball that functions very well. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because they don't tell you that the mounting bracket and LED power supply aren't included. Add another $40 for those & shipping to your budget. Otherwise It worked plug in play with a windows pc and mame emulator. Mounting is weird. Hope you know someone handy to get this installed properly.

Works great for DIY Golden Tee build
Works great for my DIY Golden Tee build. Tried using the Suzo Happ with USB/PS2 interface built in and it had terrible stutter/lag when you spun it quickly (quick google search reveals this is a common issue). Get this instead, its half the cost and actually works. Fits the Suzo Happ 3" trackball mount I had already installed in my cabinet. Spins great out of the box and I expect it will get better with break-in.

Great lit trackball
Love this. Have bought a few for myself and others.Ball is a great weight, and feels solid when playing.Uses standard usb, but also comes with other types of connections if necessary.Only bummer, not really a product flaw - I’ve replaced the trackball in an Atari dual flight stick with this - the rim around this trackball is about a millimeter bigger than the one included in that one (and others I’ve purchased) causing it not to fit into that case. I had to sand a little bit off this rim to get it to fit. Not really a product flaw, so leaving it 5 stars.Make sure to purchase the power supply by the same company to light the ball

Best trackball for arcades
Great trackball. Easy to install and hookup. Runs on my raspberry pi through the USB cable and with very little configuration.

Golden Tee + Retropie = Winning
This just plugs and plays with a RaspPi with retropie installed. The mount cover they also sell makes mounting super easy... highly recommend.

Great trackball but took some doing to get up and running
Purchased the trackball for my Retropie arcade table, it came quickly. i recommend getting the mounting plate, you can use any 12vdc adapter you have to run the lights. i was able to get my trackball roms running in mame-libretro by first editing the config file. The easiest way i found was to find the retropie on my network and select the config file. next select the all folder and find the file called retroarch-core-options.cfg and open with a free program called notepad++. add the lines mame2003-mame_current_mouse_enable = "enabled" and mame2010_mame_current_mouse_enable = "enabled" and save. You can then add roms to the libretro folder and they will work. i ended up editing the controls to map the buttons to certain games like missile command so the fire buttons are on the lower set of buttons for player 1. it took some work to get running but once you do it's a lot of fun.
