Sports Car Racing in Camera, 1980-89

As some of the other reviews, more in depth text woudl've been welcomed, but the selection of images is great.

I loved the book. I have all in the series and it’s a great addition.

A great addition to the In Camera series by Paul Parker! More expensive than the previous books but considerably thicker, lots and lots of pictures, about which there is lots of detail in the captions as usual. The team entry tables are genuinely useful and informative. The book sums up the sports car racing scene in the 1980s brilliantly.I've actually taken some pictures of the inside pages so people can judge for themselves whether or not it is a picture book!

This is the latest Sports Car Racing in Camera book from Paul Parker which covers the 1980s. I purchased this for my husband who already has the previous volumes covering the 50s, 60s and 70s, and a similar range covering Formula 1. He has really enjoyed the series so far and this new book is no exception. The photos are fabulous and cover a wide range of races, cars, teams and drivers, including a fair number of American racers. The text is very detailed and it is clear that the author has put an awful lot of research into this book. It is in a large format and very nicely produced. Overall we are very happy with the book and hope there will be more in the series.

£50 is a big price for what is essentially a picture book. The pictures are great and have plenty to interest this sports car racing fan. The text however is even worse than that in the last release in this series. There is no doubting the author's fondness for the subject but his writing is appallingly constructed, anacronistic, inconsistent and peppered with inaccuracies. This is another product of a writing and publishing team that's in desperate need of an editor and a fact-checker.

Superb photography, excellent value ,husband loves it

Parker is carrying on the "IN CAMERA" series (both F1 and sportscars) with Behemoth Publishing now that Haynes has dumped most of it's Motorsports titles. I'm a fan of 80's sportscars, racing photography, and this series and therefor biased. It's not a thorough detailed history of the era. It's not comprehensive. But I've always enjoyed the photos along with Parker's pithy commentary and recollections.

Toujours aussi bien ces livres après les 60's et 70's la suite... On apprécie toujours les légendes bien écrite et intéressantes.On en veut encore !

Das Buch ist an Sich gut aber es ist nicht normal daß sich ein Autor wie Paul Parker so sehr und oft bei ganz verschiedenen Autos bei Fotos und Autobezeichnung vertut!Bei relativ geringem Buchinhalt! Gutwillig gebe ich 3 Sterne da der Verkaufspreis in der untersten Liga liegt.
