I spent a long time looking around for a quality washing machine and to not get carried away by fancy slogans and marketing slang. Finally I settled on this as Bosch and Siemens have a legendary history of building reliable machines. (for ex. Most car parts of most brands in the world are all made by bosch). First impressions : Top class machine as expected from Siemens/ Bosch. Very Premium feel. The weight is 73kgs. (The only better machine than this would have been from Miele.) They don't tend to play around with gimmicks and fancy features like other brands because in the end the clothes need to be washed properly without damage to machine or clothes repeatedly for many years with minimum energy usage. This is their goal. The isensoric function measures the weight of the load and dispenses water accordingly, so less water wastage. There are also sensors to detect the fabric type. I think it does it by seeing how fast the water falls down after moving the drum. So thicker clothes will get more water dispensed etc. I noticed that the time values get adjusted a little, after starting the program, as the machine needs to calibrate based on load size and fabric type. Clean bright display and interface. You have various stain options and also an easy iron function to reduce wrinkles. There is also an option for soaking /pretreatment to loosen stubborn dirt. The business shirt option for non iron clothes is my favorite setting. There is an indicator which tells you if you can still open the door to add clothes in the start. Very low noise, you don't even hear the motor standing next to it. Just the clothes sound. Spinning is so smooth and stable. (be sure that the machine is leveled) Just like the Miele I had in Germany. Since I live in a large city, service/ installation was first quick and professional. However Amazon customer service had told me that I have to book the installation myself. They gave the number and installation request was done in 5 min. The technician from Siemens called me in 36 hours. I think, if you live in a large city, you will have no issues with service at all. Since water hardness is a very big issue for appliances, I made sure to attach filters and water softeners to maximise the life of the machine. If you try to save money here, you will pay more in the long run and clothes will also not look so good after a while. It is the burden of living in an area with hard water. I plan to descale with the ifb descaling sachet available everywhere, every few months as well. Make sure your water pressure is within the parameters or you will have problems as well. Also I would advise against any steel or iron washing machine stands. Low quality steel will definitely cause corrosion in places where otherwise there could never be any corrosion. Even if there is no contact with the washing machine. (no one is putting high quality steel in a washing machine stand). Stick to plastic or pure aluminium stands and keep the surrounding area dry. Fix your drains and get drain covers that don't overflow. Looking forward to a long machine life. The long warranty offered is proof of their trust in their machine. I will update if anything changes.
