Got this in preparation for an upcoming neighbor island trip so I haven't tested in the ocean yet but followed the directions and tested in my bathroom sink. Didn't let any water in from the initial test. It was a little difficult getting my phone but that could be due to the case and the popsocket I had on my phone. I think without the popsocket, it would be a little less snug.

These were perfect for our tubing trip! Even when my tube flipped and was flipped for some time while my phone was submerged the entire time still no water. Phone fits in perfectly with case on and pictures still turned out great. Definitely a must buy for water adventures

We used these at the beach for a few days and the phones never got wet and sand didn't get inside at all! Pretty impressed! Not to mention only one of these pouches at Walmart cost about the same price as getting these 3!

We are a family of three, and going on a canoe trip soon, so this set was perfect. We can each have our device protected in case of an accident. These phone holders are a step above what I've used in the past. The closure mechanism uses a latch system rather than a zip-loc and fold-over velcro that I've seen before. The latches lock the two plastic halves together which crimps the vinyl enclosure together to create a waterproof seal.My Pixel 8 Pro with a soft TPU case does fit into these perfectly, but just barely. If you have a phone that is larger than this, it may not fit. The phone barely fits into the top opening. It is hard to get the phone in with the TPU case on, it grabs the clear vinyl pouch and make it's stick. Removing the case makes it much easier to install in the case, and also makes the pouch more roomy, and highlights that a larger phone with no case could fit these pouches.The phone functions normally when inside, with the exception of the fingerprint sensor. I was not able to unlock the phone or use it for password entry in any apps. The Pixel 8 uses a sensor behind the front of the screen. My old Pixel 5, with a dedicated sensor on the back, also did not work through the clear vinyl.I did not try to make any calls through the pouch, but I was able to use Google assistant and it recognized my query without a problem, and I could easily hear music through the pouch.The lanyards connect with a plastic clip to the little hook on top of the pouch. The plastic clip is nice because it won't rust, but I would be concerned about how easily it might break. The lanyard itself is not adjustable, it is one length, and is only long enough to go around the neck. It's not able to be used messenger bag style (over the neck with one arm through the lanyard), which I would consider to be a more secure way to wear it. My kid might be able to do that, but it's too small for an adult to wear it that way.At $4 per pouch, I think these are a great value. I wish the lanyard was longer or adjustable to allow for a more secure way to wear it. It is also unfortunate that they won't allow the fingerprint sensor to work, but I'd rather have a dry phone for the times we are on the water. This is a solid 4 star purchase.

I bought these for our beach vacation and was so glad I did. They worked perfectly. The clear case allowed me to scroll through my phone without fear of getting the phone wet (or getting sand inside of it). We also used them in the ocean to take action shots and underwater photos. I like it came in a multi-color pack, so everyone got to pick out their own. Overall, I was really impressed with their performance and would definitely recommend.
