Fit, Works, I feel sexier
I ordered this part on the faith of the upgraded ball bearings, user reviews, and a big middle finger toward the om Samsung part. While I had to take apart the entire dryer to get to the idler pulley, I felt at ease knowing that this part will potentially (likely .... please universe) give us at least five more years of easy peasy dryer use. With my wife’s help, I manhandled my dryer, conquered its bloody parts, and laid claim to the throne of home repair in my household. I felt accomplished, invigorated, and super sexy for doing it my(our)self. Thanks to Jacs for the quality part that is easily and readily available. It’s been a few days and so far so good, I’ll update this in two years if something changes ... jk I’m not doing that lol. But, I have a peace of mind with this part, so that’s easily worth every penny paid.

Saves Money, Time, Effort and Aggravation!
This is exactly the perfect replacement for my Samsung dryer. I love the fact this part has a metal clip for the wheel. The original part uses a bushing and no bearings. After just a 1-1/2 years, the original part failed. If your dryer just stops working. No turning or spinning. This is the likely culprit as it trips cut off switch on the motor when either the bushing fails or belt breaks. The original part also just looks cheap, especially with the plastic triangle clip holding the wheel on. On my dryer, the bushing seized and heat from the either the dryer/belt rubbing on the wheel melted the wheel and it fell off. The cost difference between this part and a genuine Samsung part is about $50. I’m certain this one will last at least 2-3x longer. Just make sure you use the included screw. And, for those looking to replace it, go in through the vent in the back of the dryer. There is really no need to take the drum out. It can be replaced in 5-10 minutes. There are 2 screws holding the vent plate. It pulls straight out. There is plenty of space to get 2 hands in through the back. Recommend using a small towel at the opening to ensure you don’t cut your arms on the metal when your reach into the dryer. There is also a couple of YouTube videos showing you how to do it. Super easy.

EASY FIX + UPGRADE! Happy Wife Happy Life!
When I replaced the heating element I noticed that the pully was badly worn to the point the cheap plastic retainer had fallen off. I tried to lube it up with axle grease and reattach it with a hose clamp. That worked for about a week before the noise became very noticeable. This part not only fixes the problem with the pully it actually IMPROVES ON THE DESIGN! Installation took about 20 minutes and now our dryer is silent and working perfectly.

Clearly an upgraded design!!!
Great quality and quick shipping. Watched a couple videos concerning common failure of a Samsung dryer. Picked this for the upgraded bearings. Came perfect. Be warned, there are a couple videos that make you think for a newer Samsung that you can do it from the back, but you will be mis-lead. Only opening is for the vent duct. Found a video showing how easy it was to take apart from front and took about 30 minutes total to take apart and assemble plus a whole 5 minutes to install this bracket and re-wrap the belt. Fired right up and no more terrifying screams while the drum spins. Awesome product and saved from a whole new dryer! You don’t want to know the quote for dealer to come do same thing! Hint: about half the cost of the dryer!

Works, but noisier
Tearing open our dryer to be able to replace this part is quite the undertaking. Once the drum is out, it’s simple to install this pulley in place of the old one. This fit our Samsung DV56H9100EG/A2 dryer and works exactly as it should. The only negative I can cite is that the dryer is noisier than before. It sounds different as it rotates than before. (It isn’t much louder now, but it is louder and different.) Ostensibly, it’s the bearings making noise that’s amplified by the hollow interior of the shell. Maybe the bearings aren’t lubricated as well as they should be, or maybe the races are looser than ideal. I have no idea if the noise is indicative of a reduced lifespan, however. The original pulley lasted six years, so despite its cheap design, it did pretty well, especially considering we run at least two loads a day. I hope this replacement lasts at least as long.

Runs like a charm!
First let me start with our dilemma. Our dryer stopped working and wouldn't turn. The electrical panel seemed fine but no turning means no dry clothes. So, we paid for some one to come take a look at it. As most of you are aware, you get charged and if you have the repair company fix it they apply the service fee to that. Let's just say our price to replace and install the idle wheel would have cost us almost $300.00. The service guy was awesome and told me that I could get the part online and install it myself for a heck of a lot less. After getting the part number, I took to the internet and started looking. I came across this model and saw the reviews. I decided to give it a shot. This part took me a total of 15 minutes to install to include routing the belt properly after watching a few YT videos. Runs like a charm. I surprised my husband when he got home telling him I fixed the dryer. Girls can do stuff too! I gave the belt a 4 stars on durability because we've only had it for a couple of weeks so far. Hard to tell, but so far so good.So bottom line is a $23.00 part saved me from spending $300.00. I would recommend.
