Q: Why it wont let me put air in my car tire?

I'm guessing the problem is operator error, did you screw it onto the valve stem like it was a valve cap? I have the smaller 1000/500 version and I've filled up 4-35" BFG M/T from an "air down" (for offroad) pressure of 20 PSI to 35 PSI on several occasions. I also had "one of those days" when my trainee left the truck lights on the evening before, and he left the key in the on position on 4 zero turn mowers. It had no issue jump starting a V8 truck (once) and all 4 zero turn mowers (twice), so you either got a bunk jump box or

The air compressor hose has a built in adapter. No attachment is needed to fill vehicle tires.

Q: would it start up a dead car battery?

It’s supposed to if you leave it charge for a minute. I personally haven’t use mine yet I have a new battery in my car.
