I only ended up using one of these for now. I used this on a Weber style kettle grill. I use it for a lot of things. Thanksgiving and Christmas I smoked Turkeys. My smoker is too small for a 18lb bird. And then we also grill everything else on this one too. I haven't used my propane grill in years. So I was thinking that I probably need to know what the temp is, instead of guessing. This gauge takes out all of the guess work! Install was straight forward. I mounted mine a little lower. So i have to watch the probe. It'll give a false reading if it touches something. But I feel that it's more accurate. I didn't want it to be too far from the heat. But does it really matter? The gauge works great!

This looks similar to the one it's replacing, but it's much smaller. 2 of these came in a box that would hold 2 golf balls. Normal complaint, just an observation - and a surprise.

I bought these for an ugly drum smoker. My first run I tested it with my oven thermometer and my digital. Seems accurate to a 5° F difference. My next uds build I'll very likely buy these again.
