So I had some swords with less than stellar grips, you can see the before and after in the photos. This is about the cheapest/easiest way to improve the grips short of cutting the original material off and doing a leather strap wrap or 1 piece leather wrap which I have neither the tools nor confidence to try. Main points: - The tape is firm yet stretchy enough to wrap over variable geometry of the grips/risers without issue. - It stick la to itself very well, after months of handling the wraps are all still 100% secure, even the end point of the wrap isn’t peeling. - When you first wrap it, there is a bit of residue on the outside which is mainly from the stickiness the tape leaves on the layer below it as it comes off the roll. This came off pretty easily with a damp cloth/clean wipe to vigorously work around the handle (in the direction of the wrap). Since then there hasn’t been any other stickiness. - No weird smells. - This was an easy way to add risers on the grip by wrapping a cord around the handle (no adhesive needed) then wrapping the tape over the cord. - Being a fabric textured tape it is unfortunately rougher on the hands than leather, but what I needed it for was slippery grips so that’s kinda the trade off I made.

Perfect stuff! I love it. Usually only used on firearms, axes, shovels and equipment on the farm. BUT this time I ordered the two roll green and brown because I recently purchased the newly released Ka-Bar Slabby. It comes with some pretty cheap plastic grips and replacement grips are $60+ just for plastic or micarta so I decided to wrap it in the green for now. MUCH better grip, no more slipping on the slick plastic. Great price too for what you get. Seems to be pretty durable in my experience. Super easy to use and looks great! Great buy for the price and can be used for many many things. Highly recommended.

For the life of me couldn’t find tape for the pull up bar on my home gym rack/handles of our self-propelled treadmill, until I found this. Goes on well, stays solid, improves grip, doesn’t hurt hands, and the cloth makes it really reliable when my sweaty hands hop up to pretend I can do pull ups. Highly recommend it!!

This is a great value as far as I'm concerned. This tape feels very nice and soft while also being sturdy and it's very sticky. The adhesive is good quality and doesn't feel like it'll move once it's in place and has time to bond properly. I will say, the edges however fray a bit and curl up so be mindful of that but otherwise, a great product. Easy to manipulate and cut if you have a good pair of scissors and the possibilities with this are endless!

And it brings me back to wrapping hockey sticks. As much as I mock, ridicule and have never not baited all these cosplaying patriot fart type proud pansies and the like, I have been thoroughly enjoying all these crazy options for ‘tactical’ gear. I did not even know what a co witness was growing up with guns, mostly shooting skeet with a dang bead. The bolt action with a scope made me feel like a sniper, the closest anything ever felt to ‘tactical’ to me. Now I am tri-witnessed 😆 but its little things like this that I might appreciate the most. So much better than the paint jobs I was looking into, and functional.

So far I've used this for a number unrelated applications and am very happy with the grip texture and stickiness. I'm sure I'll need to retape eventually, but I'll update when I have some more insight on usage longevity.

I used this to wrap the handle of the cart I got to wheel around cat food and water. I'm old and have a bad back and arthritic hands. I wasn't sure how to do the wrapping but I watched a video on YouTube that was very informative from a carpenter who also played hockey. He wrapped his tool handles the same way he wrapped his hockey stick and this worked well on the handle of my cart. I wasn't sure about making the ribs, but it was easier than I expected. I made them narrow enough to fit my fingers.

bought this for my boyfriend for his workout equipment after he told me that the knurling on the pull-up bar was irritating his hands. He said that it performs pretty well, it looks pretty slick, and it was easy to apply. He did mention some sticky residue on his hands after the fact though, so definitely something to notate. no complaints, as he said it gave him extra grip. So far it’s been used multiple times and has not shifted or needed to be replaced, I can imagine it’ll be a while before I’ll need to do that. seems durable enough for its intended use.

This is hockey tape, really really expensive hockey tape. Search Renfrew Hockey Tape and save yourself $30. Returning asap, this is just silly.
