Great too for the price.
Was surprised how accurate it was (especially for the price). Saved me a bundle of $$$$. Ordered Cap on Amazon, and VOILA my furnace motor is once again working. Now I need to check the Cap on my AC unit, and replace it before it fails.I checked the battery in the unit and it was bard new, measured over 9.7 volts on my Multimeter. Also for the user who complained the leads are too short, the length of leads are important for the accuracy of the reading, as long leads will add capacitance to the reading and give you false readings.

very good product
this is very handy compositor test. It works great

For your reference
The contact quality of the probe line with the device may be a concerns.

Must have if you live in the southwest
If you live in area where each summer has 3 months of temperatures above 100 degrees this is a must have, along with spare capacitors. Mobile HVAC companies will con the unknowing owner out of several hundred dollars to replace a 15 dollar start/run capacitor. During A/C season I constantly check the capacitors for strength to replace the weak ones before they fail and possibly cause a compressor lock. This tool makes it easy enough to do it with the capacitor installed in the unit. Just do your homework and learn about how capacitors work, and how they can bite you if you are not careful.

Inexpensive, accurate, simple to use - what's not to like?
After receiving this item and using it to measure some fixed and variable capacitors I was using for some RF design - all in the picofarad (pf) ranges - I was amazed that it was as accurate as it was. Yes, it can be touchy to achieve a "perfect zero" with the goofy little screwdriver-slot pot, but how much accuracy do you really need? Fixed capacitors come in standard values and are separated in value by a sufficient margin that I cannot imagine anyone "mistaking" the value of a capacitor based on any error displayed by this meter. A ceramic capacitor marked "68pf" displayed as 69.6pf, an error of only 2.3%; since most capacitors are rated at 5%, 10%, or 20%, this little meter is VERY accurate, in my view. And remember, this is not a piece of "laboratory standard" equipment, it is a simple measurement tool that lets the engineer or technician know if the components they test are "in the right ballpark". Given the price point, I think this meter is a gem! BTW, I'm a retired EE who had 20 years of technician experience before "moving up" into RF & digital electronics design engineering for the next 25 years.

Junk Tool - Avoid at All Costs
I bought this Honeytek A6013L capacitor tester and I regret every cent. Right out of the box, it was a disaster. The included 9V battery was already installed, completely dead, and had leaked inside the unit. The battery compartment has no enclosure—the battery literally sits pressed against the back of the LCD screen. Who thought that was a good idea? The LCD is connected to the board by thin wires that were pinched between the casing, a blatant quality control failure. The casing itself is held together with self-tapping screws that strip the plastic the first time you open it—so even basic maintenance wrecks the thing. The leads are a joke: short 6-inch wires that barely reach anything and don’t even fit securely in the slots. As for performance? It’s not auto-ranging, and every capacitor I tested measured 10% off across the board, regardless of the value or range. This isn’t a tool—it’s barely a functioning toy. Between the horrendous build quality, inaccurate readings, and total lack of proper engineering, I’d give this zero stars if I could. Save yourself the headache and spend your money on something that’s not landfill-ready straight out of the package.Do not buy.

Great for checking AC capacitor
My AC would not run and I wanted to see if the problem was a capacitor. For the inexpensive price of the meter it was worth checking before calling for service. Sure enough, the meter showed low micro farrads. Ordered a new capacitor for $20 on Amazon and everything running like new.
