Works as intended.
This fairly inexpensive unit (when paired with Car Scanner Pro on iOS or Android) effortlessly pulls codes and feeds the associated app. To be honest, the app is where it's at with these scanners; the expensive hardware is not really necessary. This unit is small, unobtrusive, and most importantly cheap enough that I can stuff one in all of my vehicles and leave it there for about the same price as a hard-wired scanner from Harbor Freight. Side note, I had to pair this through the app and not the BT settings on my iPhone 16, but it works well and does exactly what I had hoped it would do: help me find out why my car's performance was suffering.

Scam
Chinese scam, don't waste time and money. Doesn't work at all. It looks like it only gives you a bluetooth pairing, but does not actually do anything.

Perfect! ELM 327 v 2.2 clone! Works with everything I tested it with.
Ignore the low review about the CD. If you're here looking at this and know WHAT it is you shouldn't need a CD... This little guy works with torque pro, scan master, and tons of other Android, Linux, and windows tools! It can be used to spoof commands over the CANBUS to do things like unlock your car or roll the windows down. Testing it's protocols reveals that it has support up to version 2.2. It's only missing one command set from 1.4b. Tested on Ford Fusion 2017 and Nissan Altima 2019. Able to read trouble codes current and historic and issue the clear command. You can also check the DTC status and the status of tests. Highly highly recommend. Got here in 2 days at the same price it'd take a month to get from China 🇺🇸. A+ seller

Works and is cheap.
So I bought this to connect to my Idoing head unit. It doesn't connect to ECU. That's my head units fault. Both my iPhone and my android pixel 9 pro connect to ECU just fine using Torque app. This is a super cheap and EZ unit. Works fine.

Bad clone, didn't work with my vehicles
Neither adapter worked with either of my Chevrolet vehicles. The "Car Scanner ELM OBD2" app said that these devices are bad clones, for what that's worth. I also tried Torque Pro. Both apps would see the adapter but the adapter would either appear to crash or otherwise constantly disconnect. Car Scanner saw the ECU one time. Yay...

Nothing special
It's just another scanner that requires a subscription.
