The thermal tumbler fad is still going strong and more cheaper alternatives to the "big" named brand are popping up all the time. Essentially they are just a thermal flask that is easier to drink from directly.This is the best alternative and the best "imitation" I have now, out of three. It looks great and the thermal properties are excellent. I put ice and water in it and the ice still hadn't fully melted after 6 hours. Could have lasted longer and even when the ice is all gone the water would have stayed cold for a long time. They are better than using a normal bottle or cup.These are great for long gaming sessions, work, travel or camping. I'm pretty sure they fit the criteria for workplaces where you aren't allowed to have an open cup, with the leakproof lid on.Because the straw is metal, you can get a slight metallic taste occasionally. More noticeable when drinking plain water. The plastic tips on the straws are welcome because they can get very cold or dangerously hot without them.Because it's a screw top and comes with two different lids, it's fine to throw this in a bag. It is huge though.Just as good as the big name (I have one) and far less expensive. If it didn't have a logo on it you wouldn't be able to tell the difference without closer inspection.

In summary. An efficient flask for keeping drinks hot or cool with attractive and fun leopard skin look. Two lids for differing situations and two metal straws with a straw cleaner thrown in as well.As I’m reviewing the cost was £19.99 which is about half the cost of what the well know named brand costs. This is a good enough quality to make it very good value for money indeedYou get the vacuum flask style cup which holds 40 ounces. This might not mean much to many UK peeps so I will say that’s over a litre and for perfect clarity I could squeeze 2 whole pints into the mug which is a fair amount of drink.The mug is tapered so you can fit it in a car cup holder. Because the mug is quite tall and bulky don’t assume this will fit in some cup holders (for example in car doors) necessarily, it will fit in those with some space around them though. It has a good grippy handle and you can put a silicone base on it to avoid scratchy desks etc.The cup has two different lids for different circumstances. There is a 2 in one lid that will take either a straw or swivel so that you can drink directly from the cup and a leakproof lid which has a strong bung in the middle of the cup that can still take a straw. If you are hoping to keep drinks very hot or very cold then I think this is the lid to use. I drink fairly quickly and so for reference I put water just off the boil into the mug, used the spill proof lid and 18 plus hours later it was still lukewarm so I think I can accept the 12 hours hot claim that is made as well as it seems to be a good quality of vacuum and seal.The cup comes with two metal straws as well and a straw cleaner. The straws obviously are a good quality and won’t need replacing and they look very nice. The contemporary Black Leopard print look of the mug is really nice as well.This is a fantastic mug and holds a lot of liquid. It will be good for gym bunnies, travellers and commuters and those who want to take a days supply of hydration into an office etc. its looks also means it would make a nice gift.

I was pleased that this huge insulated tumbler comes with two straws and, importantly a straw cleaning brush.It does a great job of keeping liquid cool for several hours, although as I'm writing this in early November, the outdoor temperature is quite cool anyway! I've not tested it for keeping liquids hot, as I personally wouldn't want such a large quantity of hot tea or coffee stewing in a flask like this for more than an hour or so.The description states 'fits into most car cup holders'. Whilst the base does indeed fit into my car cup holder in the front, the vertical height of the tumbler interferes with the dashboard. The diameter of the cupholder in the rear of my car is too big, so the flask isn't held in place and would just topple over.
