Great starter kit, but expect to buy more screws!
Genuinely great starter kit. Used when making some raised beds to tie the to half's together. I bought this with extra screws and had no issues.Easy to use and robust enough for occasional diy use.Handly little case to store it in also.I would recommend marking the drill bit shaft so you can fit the stop quickly. Makes it easier as when you put it away you have to remove each time.

Brilliant, lightweight compact jig
The jig has been perfect for fast, discreet fixing of mitre joints and invaluable when fixing scaffolding boards together after gluing as I do when building rustic style tables. I would recommend the purchase of this jig to anyone. The product has been very robust so far considering it’s predominantly plastic and I have owned it for over a year.

Wish I'd used it soon enough to return it!
I bought it a few months back for a project that I only started recently.I wish I'd tried it sooner so I could've sent it back as defective/crap- The drill stop part doesn't fit over the drill bit, so I've resorted to gorilla tape- The accuracy of depth measurement is out, I have to go far deeper than the instructions suggest to get a viable screw hole- the screws are countersunk so they'll tear through the tiny amount of wood left to grip (combine this with the above point)- The drill bit leaves ragged edges (apparently it's an issue with soft wood...)I went with this as I thought for my occassional efforts a £40 thing would suffice, I should've bought something better.I've got several wolfcraft bits, they're mostly good. This one isn'tEDIT: After much messing around yesterday I got some viable holes out of it by using my own screws, tape as a stop point and loads of sanding down of the hole made so it wasn't just a bunch of splinters. It's not great but it'll do for rough work.

Great piece of kit, apart from the screws
Excellent value and easy to use straight out the box. Why doesn't Wolfcraft supply proper pocket hole screws? Order a pack of various pocket hole screws at the same time.

Great product for the money
I've used this kit a lot and I keep coming back to using pocket hole joinery now I have one of these. For the money (bought for £40) it's great. Kits double the price do have advantages, like it would be nice if the drill bit had a quick change hex shaft, otherwise you're forever slowly switching between the drill bit and the screwdriver bit. I'm assuming you don't have two cordless drill/drivers, if you do you'll probably spend more on a kit like this anyway. The screws which came with the kit are not proper pocket hole screws, they are regular countersunk screws. Overall the box could be a lot smaller too. Still, none of these points affect the performance of this kit. Given the choice, knowing what I know now, I'd still buy this kit again.

Does the job, drillbit can leave a burr on softwoods, but fine on hardwood.
Easy enough to setup, always have a few practices before using it on your project so you can be sure you have set alignment up for your needs.

Very useful
I've used this quite a bit for various projects since i bought it and It's still going strong. Not as expensive as others on the market but very well made of metal and heavy duty plastic. You need a good quality clamp to hold it in place and you'll be putting pocket holes in everything! One thing is the screws supplied aren't proper pocket hole screws and not to be used as such as they'd likely go straight through, so just make sure to get yourself some appropriate screws.

One job which it does well
Fairly easy to use. Guide holes appear to be steel rather than aluminium which should allow it to last longer.Lost one star due to plastic stop plate which needs to be rotated 180° before use. I can see this failing after prolonged use. However I only need this occasionally so should be fine.Overall I'd recommend this item for hobby/ light work
