Featuring premium 4-element apochromatic optics with full multi-coating, it delivers sharp, high-contrast images free from color fringing. Its durable hard-anodized aluminum body includes a brass compression ring and oversized thumbscrews for secure, glove-friendly handling. The lens barrel is threaded to accept 2" filters, allowing quick eyepiece changes without filter removal. Backed by a 2-year US warranty and expert support, it’s a must-have upgrade for serious amateur astronomers. ## Description The Celestron 2" Luminos Barlow Lens increases the magnification of your 2" and 1.25" eyepieces by 2.5x. The premium 4-element apochromatic optics are fully multi-coated for optimum light transmission and yield high contrast, true color images. The beautiful hard-anodized aluminum housing matches the eyepieces in the Celestron Luminos line. A centralized rubber grip helps to keep your hands securely on the barrel, even when your fingers are cold or you are wearing gloves. A brass compression ring just inside the top of the Luminos 2.5x Barlow grabs your 2" eyepieces gently but firmly when you turn the oversized thumbscrew. Once the thumbscrew has been secured in place, the brass ring keeps your eyepiece in the Barlow instead of relying on the tip of the thumbscrew itself, offering a better grip and protecting the barrel from scratches. A matching 2" to 1.25" adapter is included so that you can increase the magnification of all of your eyepieces, both 1.25" and 2", in this versatile Barlow lens. The insert barrel of the Celestron Luminos 2.5x Barlow is threaded to accept 2" filters. This is a nice feature, because you can change eyepieces without removing and reattaching the filter each time. ## Features - The Celestron 2.5x Luminos Barlow increases the magnification of any 2" or 1.25" eyepiece by two and a half times. - High-quality 4-element optics produce a flat field for sharp images that are free of extraneous color. - Hard-anodized aluminum barrel is threaded to accept 2" filters. - A brass compression ring holds eyepieces firmly in place, and large thumbscrews are easy to turn, even with gloves on. - A 2" to 1.25" adapter is included. Sincerely, Garrett at Celestron **Q: Will this work celestron 6e ? what adapters do i need if any? thank you** A: It's a 2 inch diameter barlow. If your current setup can handle a 2 inch eyepiece, there is no issue. Not familiar with your 6e. I'm not an experienced astronomer but I think a 2 inch barlow is probably overkill for a 6 inch mirror assuming it can accept the piece. **Q: I bought this barlow for use with a 12inch Meade. Well constructed lens, but can't get the image in focus, even with an extender. Recommendations?** A: I had to use 3” extra to focus it in my RC 8”. Can you try it even farther? Even just holding the eyepiece/camera farther by hand can give you an idea. **Q: I have a starsense 102az. i do not have a 2” diagonal. can i use this in between the objective and the 1.25” diagonal that comes with the telescope?** A: No, you're going to have to buy a 2 inch diagonal to use this eyepiece. ## Frequently Bought Together - Celestron 93436 2 Inch Luminous 2.5x Barlow Lens, Silver - Celestron 94119-A 1.25 inch Moon Filter - Suitable for Lunar Observation, Extra Bright Planets or Terrestrial Viewing over Sand or Snow, Black - Celestron 81055 NexYZ 3-Axis Universal Smartphone Adapter, Patented Design - Works with Telescopes, Spotting Scopes, Binoculars, Monoculars and Microscopes, Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ph/products/6825649-celestron-luminos-2-5x-barlow-lens-for-1-25-2](https://www.desertcart.ph/products/6825649-celestron-luminos-2-5x-barlow-lens-for-1-25-2) --- *Product available on Desertcart Philippines* *Store origin: PH* *Last updated: 2026-10-21*
