Just salt, without unnecessary seasoning
Love em. Just salt without all the extra seasoning so it’s perfect with beer, for trail mix or to top chocolate sundaes (chopped). Overall quality is good and the value is even better.

Not dry roasted
These are not dry roasted peanuts. Too greasy, more like cocktail peanuts but smaller. I still rate them 5 stars because they are delicious & a good value.

Preferred Brand
You really can’t go wrong with Planters in my opinion. Not too salty and each peanut is perfectly salted - until you get to the bottom with the crushed pieces. That’s when it’s like licking a salt block! Other than that, these have been a family favorite for decades.

My favorite
I like Planters cocktail peanuts over all other brands. They are fantastic for a variety of uses. A friend of mine eats planters cocktail peanuts with plain m & m's. It's a great treat. I highly recommend these peanuts.

Disappointing, lower quality than the product found in smaller grocery store type cans
I’m assuming cans of this size are intended for being served in dark bars, or some such, to people busy drinking & uninterested in the appearance or consistency in the roasting of the peanuts. I tried this BIG can this last order because it was only slightly more in price for the whole big can as I’ve paid for smaller cans with much lower volume. It never occurred to me that there would be a difference in quality of the contents, just more of what I’m used to buying. This is definitely a case of ‘you get what you pay for.’Compared to what I have purchased in the past in smaller cans from grocery stores, etc., the peanuts in this huge can are all “runt of the litter” sized nuts and pieces. The peanuts in the smaller _non-industrial/food service_ sized cans are in better shape and the contents are two to three times larger nuts and pieces. The product in this huge can also seemed to have been slightly more roasted than their higher quality, larger counterparts are. They’re good enough for eating in privacy at home even though they are slightly over roasted, but I wouldn’t use them if I were entertaining and I wouldn’t buy these again. They are not at all appealing in appearance because of the inconsistent roasting & dinky pieces, the flavor is not as good as I’m used to, and they just look a bit beaten up and oddly speckled. Definitely not the big, clean looking, shiny peanuts I’m used to.(I’d offer a comparison photo of nicer nuts from the small cans, but don’t have any on hand. I figured this much larger volume would last quite a while so didn’t buy any new small containers.)
