It's a very nice lighter and well made with some weight to it. I don't know why the first one no longer lights. I've been reading about the purging of these types of lighters but even after the second lighter containing no instructions I'm still up in the air. Again, these are nice lighters. The double flame causes you to use up additional butane. I tend to refill mine every day since I smoke cigars. If you don't smoke cigars I would shop for a different one. I am also using refined butane because of the clogging you get in the jets that preclude you from lighting. Since I have bought my second one of the same lighter I think it says I really like it. I was surprised when the previous one wouldn't light anymore. I had used it about 4 months everyday. Again, if you smoke anything but cigars I would pick a different one. Good luck!! (50%? 75%? 100%?)** A: Unlike most cheap leaky-fill-valve lighters, I've found that this one stops filling about halfway (when empty) You just need to bleed off some pressure by running the lighter for about 3-5 seconds. Then you can again fill 50% of the remain space.... so 1fill=50%,bleed, 2fill=75%,bleed, 3fill=85%,bleed, 4fill=92% etc **Q: Do people use these lighters in 40 mph wind? Lol blowing hard on them** A: I would think so. Strong flames for sure.
