That being said, my initial thoughts - they are very lightweight. I wouldn't call them flimsy. They feel like they will do the job just fine but these are not meant for taking abuse. The metal is solid but quite light compared to another similar hatchet I have. These will still be good for camping and hacking odd branches and what not. I would not use these for really heavy use. The metal is light so for one you're not getting a lot of weight behind your swing which minimizes impact. I could also see the axe head bending or chipping pretty easy if you were to cut branches on the ground into gravel or something.
