I love licorice and these deliver a good black licorice flavor.

I recently ordered the deBron Sugarfree Zoete Bolletjes, Sweet Licorice Drops, 2.2lb Value Bag, a product I had enjoyed in the past. However, this time around, I was left utterly disappointed.I've been a loyal customer and have ordered this product many times before. For those unfamiliar with these drops, they are normally delightful, with a shiny black appearance and absolutely no discoloration. However, upon opening the package this time, I was shocked to find that all of the licorice drops were discolored, far from the quality I had come to expect.Product failures can happen, but what's even more frustrating is that I am unable to return this item through the system.Paying for a product that has clearly deteriorated in quality is just too much to accept. This experience has left me dissatisfied, and I hope others are aware of the decline in quality when considering this purchase.John

Lekker dropjes zonder gluten. I wasn’t sure at first because it’s sugar free but the flavor and consistency is just like the stuff we used to get back home.

If you like strong European licorice but want to limit your sugar intake, then these sweet licorice drops manufactured by DeBron are for you. They have a firm but chewy texture and the strong licorice taste characteristic of Dutch licorice while at the same time containing no sugar. Sweetened with Maltitol, they are also fat-free and gluten-free. In my estimation, they are one of the best sugar-free licorice products on the market. You won't go wrong with them.

I was looking for a strong European-style licorice. This candy has the strong licorice flavor, but there is something else. It took several pieces of candy, but I think I figured out the taste. An aftertaste, which hits half way through eating, which tastes like a restroom smells immediately after being cleaned with industrial cleaners. Also found out that these cannot be returned. So no stuck with 1kg of candy that nobody wants to touch.

Very good texture and flavor if you like Dutch licorice- I do. However, the candy should not be eaten in large amounts (more than 50 grams per day due to impact of the licorice extract used instead of anise flavoring in the kidney and heart even in healthy people). I should’ve looked but forgot. I am very healthy adult but experience health issues due to a drop in potassium caused by the licorice extract in the candy, which impacts kidneys and heart and blood pressure. Normal blood pressure and kidney function may be affect by the drop in potassium caused by licorice extract. Look for licorice with anise flavoring instead.

I like liquorice, particularly as it can help digestive problem, but until now had been buying the sweetened variety, which wasn't a good idea as I have type 2 diabetes and also I found it a bit sickly sweet. These buttons though are the ideal solution because they have a nice flavour and also aren't too sweet as well as being slightly salty. The other advantage is that unlike the small sticks they don't need much chewing as well as being easy to suck.As for the reviewer who complained that they contained ammonia, while it's true that they do contain ammonium chloride, this is a perfectly legitimate food additive under the E number E510 and is used among other things to spice up dark sweets such as liquorice and in fact it's this which gives these buttons their salty flavour, so my only advice is that if you don't like salty things, then these probably aren't for you.

These have increased a lot since I bought them 3-4 months ago, so I'm looking elsewhere. They taste great, a major liquorice hit which is really hard to find if you have to avoid gluten. But beware - ignore other reviewers' reports of extreme laxative effectsvat your peril: they weren't exaggerating.

Heute sind die Lakritze angekommen. Gleich geöffnet und probiert. Soweit sehr lecker, aber ich hatte mit mehr Lakritzgeschmack gerechnet, deswegen auch nur 4*, anstatt 5. Der Preis ist natürlich auch stattlich. Kaufen würde ich sie mir nicht mehr, weil sie einfach im Geschmack zu lasch sind.Wer auf weichen Lakritz steht, auch noch ohne Zucker, findet hier sicherlich eine alternative.
