Anyone advise on the dimensions? In particular I would like to know the height.

From the base of the mattress to the top of the rail it is 53cm or 21". I purchased it for my husband and it is excellent. The part that goes under the mattress is slightly longer

Is this suitable for a double bed

It can only be used on one side of the bed so if it is a double bed the person who needs it should sleep on that side. My husband sleeps on a wide single bed and it works well for him. The other side of his bed is against the wall. It even helps him to sit up in bed because he can pull against it

i have a king size bed with drawers underneath is it ok to put on that bed

If you have a Divan type bed with draws this bed rail for elderly will be fine. The straps can also wrap around the bed base to provide extra stability.

Need to stop my leg falling out of bed after a Hip Op. Do you provide a solution which allows the rail to be folded out the way for in/out access?
