A great addition to our birthday girl's day!
Super fast and easy to make. A little mix with water, peanut butter (optional, not included), and 2 and a half minutes in the microwave is all you need to "bake". It's a microwave recipe and after a 15 min rest and yougurt icing application, you've got yourself a cute little cake! Easy to follow instructions are provided and we followed them exactly. I will say that the product picture is slightly misleading. It doesn't come with the sprinkles shown but that's not a deal breaker for me. You get a package of cake mix made of natural ingredients, a package of yogurt mix, the cake pan, a candle, and instructions. All ingredients are listed and clear. The cake pan will absolutely come in handy for more homemade treats in the future, and in my humble opinion, that's worth the price paid. Our Tippi is a 20lb beagle and a voracious eater so it was difficult to keep her from eating the whole thing in 1 sitting as recommended. She absolutely loved it though and we loved to see her dig in, memories made for sure for her 2nd birthday. I am 100% pleased with this purchase and will update my review if we come across any issues. I feel whatever happens, barring sickness of course, this was a great purchase and product. I would buy it again and def recommended it for sure. Thank you for a great item and to you for taking the time to read this.

Easy to make
So cute , nice size and so easy to make . It also smelled good too. It was my first time giving this to my dog ,so was little scared to give it all to him. Just gave him few bites of it and he liked it . Will probably purchase again.

Wasn’t exactly as described, but I made it work and my dog liked it
I bought this thinking everything I’d need would be included based off the advertising, but the cheese one needed plain greek yogurt for both the cake and frosting. Not a huge deal, but that meant I had to delay making it for a day as I had to go buy some, which was not ideal.Otherwise, it was easy to make but didn’t turn out as well as I hoped it would. (the frosting gets thick and hard to work with way too fast, and I used it right away as it said to do) Outside of the frosting (which didn’t come with any red dye btw) there wasn’t anything included for decorations, so I added some of my dogs favorites treats in tiny portions on top.My dog liked licking the frosting, but eventually ate the cake itself as well. Will have to wait to see how well the leftovers keep and if he thinks they’re still good.Overall this was ok as a last minute thing, but it wasn't as convenient as advertised. I likely will just go to a local pet shop to get a proper fully made cake next year when I have the time to plan ahead.

Just OK, but cake mold came broken
I bought this product for my dog's birthday. After searching Amazon for a while, I settled on this cake kit due to affordability and positive reviews. I liked that the kit included everything (including the candle).Upon opening the package, I noticed that the mold was slightly cracked, so I had to get creative and tape it up so the batter wouldn't leak out. It was easy enough to make the batter and it cooked quickly in the microwave. I will say that it smelled pretty nice. The frosting was runny, so I ended up adding a little peanut butter to thicken it up enough so I could spread it. Overall, the cake was fine for a little birthday photo shoot. My dog licked all the frosting off, but didn't even take a bite out of the actual cake.

PetCakes Cake Kit: An easy and fun way to celebrate your pup's 'cakeday'
We purchased the carob flavor 'PetCakes Dog Birthday Cake Kit' for our puppy's first birthday last month and it was a hit. The kit comes with cake mix, frosting mix, and a bone-shaped mold that's microwave-safe. A quick mix poured into the greased mold is then microwaved for a couple minutes—the finished product smelled delicious enough that the humans were impressed (and our dog's nose was up in the air sniffing). Be warned, the frosting mix thickens up quickly and becomes unusable, so I wasn't the biggest fan of that portion. (I actually ended up making my own 'frosting' with a little Greek yogurt/PB/honey so that I could take more time to frost/decorate our pup's cake. It worked well!) Our dog would have happily eaten the entire thing in one sitting, but after taking some photos, we sliced the cake into thirds and gave him smaller portions over the next couple days (to avoid any potential tummy upset in our food-loving doodle). I really liked that all the cake ingredients were familiar/natural items—I felt good about giving it to our birthday boy. The kit also comes with a candle that's a thoughtful touch. Overall it was novel, cute and worth the money; you should buy it. Dogs deserve cake for their birthday, too!

The Perfect Base Cake: Quick, easy & cute 🍰🐕
Here’s something to consider when buying:This mix on its own is just ok. You’ll want to add some extra ingredients. It’s super simple to use and only takes 2 1/2 minutes in the microwave. It doesn’t look like you can get replacement batter anywhere to reuse the bone mold. The frosting mix alone is too runny (add in some pb).I made a peanut butter cake with maple peanut butter frosting, crushed unicorn treats, carrots and raspberry “sprinkles”.Add a tablespoon of pb into the cake mixAdd a tablespoon of maple into the frosting mix instead of honey and add pb to thickenCrush Bocce Bakery Unicorn treats and press to sides of frosted cakeChop carrots and frozen raspberries* for “sprinkles”*Raspberries Are safe for dogs but should only be given in moderation. The cake after being microwaved (pictured) is a little wonky but actually smells really good. My dog loves the taste!I would definitely recommend this as it’s easy to use and easy to customize. I hope they start selling replacement mixes so I can buy again in the future without having to get another mold.Included some pics of Wrigley with his cake. Unfortunately with social distancing his cat friends could not attend the party this year but they’re having a zoom call later...
