While I cant compare this to other boom arms, having very little experience with them, I can say that this one does its job and meets my needs.It was easy to attach the Rode mic. The clamp is easy to use and I didn't have a difficult time figuring out how to loosen the joints and articulate to arm. The arm comes with a couple of black sleeves to help wrangle the cords, which I appreciate. It all makes for an awesome little recording setup for me!One thing to be aware of: the arm itself isn't actually attached to the clamp!!! You attach the clamp to its spot, then you sit the boom arm into its hole in the top of the clamp. (This forms the joint from which the boom arm swivels side to side!) Not a problem... unless you're planning to install the clamp on a vertical surface! Just something to be aware of!

works amazing. The sturdiness is wonderful microphone holds wonderful functions very well. Sounds is very great and it definitely whole capacity. If anything happens I will definitely buy this again, but I hope this is a long strong lasting product.
