I tried about 20 different lip stain lipsticks by this company and a couple others, and found for me this purple color stains the most natural and longest lasting lip color. I put it on, wipe it off after it has dyed my lips about 5 minutes, wipe it off and put it on again, the more times you repeat that the deeper the color dyes your lips. I find the best is about 2 or 3 such applications, then my lips are dyed for at least half a day before I would want to re-apply.Usually I would then put a light top coat of my favorite regular lipstick - which is more of a red tone, but the undercoating of this bright purple shows through and combines to give a great 'vividness' to any of my regular lipsticks. Also, when the regular lipstick wears off, there is always this lipstain underneath so I never end up with bare lips. I don't have to wear a thick coat of regular lipstick this way which alleviates the problem I used to have of getting my regular lipstick on my teeth unawares. Since the moodmatcher lipstick is actually a stain and you can wipe it off and leave the color, no part of that can get on your teeth.

Love the color and it lasts a long time. I add gloss over top for moisture.
