Log Horizon: Complete Collection

Season 1 (S1) starts off kinda slow and it really got interesting around episode 6-7 at which point I started to see why people really like this one. This one stands out for its world building and social interactions, as well as its political themes throughout S1. The action scenes are short and brief and not the high point of this show like many other isekai, so keep that in mind before buying. S1 was very good and entertaining, although honestly I wouldn’t say it’s any better or worse than a lot of the other popular isekai.. but it’s worth the watch if you like isekai in general. Season 2 (S2) is where it lost me.. the animation is entirely different (New studio) and severely lacking in quality from S1 to S2 and honestly it was just boring. All the things that made S1 unique and entertaining are missing in S2. It’s not terrible by any means, I just couldn’t stop checking which episode I was on hoping it would soon be over. It really was boring and it only got worse the further in I watched. The only reason I didn’t drop the 2nd season is because the 3rd is right around the corner (2021). But I’d recommend this even with the disappointing S2. Hopefully Season 3 picks up more so where S1 left off than S2.Season 1 is a 9/10Season 2 is a 6.5/10I’d give the whole thing an 8/10. Just keep in mind the first season is really much better.

Great anime. If you are a fan of .Hack series (games or anime) you'll likely enjoy this anime a lot. Interesting premise and some great characters. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is there is an oversight with displaying the subtitles for season 2 on the Xbox One.I watched the first season without any issues. Once I started season 2, only the line of the first sentence was displayed for a character. This appears to be an oversight for the Xbox One. I switched to my PS4 and this problem doesn't exist. If I didn't own a second Blu-ray player I would have been out of luck.Something to consider if your Xbox is your only Blu-ray player and you prefer watching with subtitles. This should've been something the publishing company and/or Microsoft needs to iron out. Considering how likely people use their Xbox or PlayStation as a Blu-ray these days instead of buying one stand alone, it's worth one star off.

A better “trapped within a video game” show than Sword Art Online, in my opinion. Though it’s sad that this series has to exist under the shadow of SAO, any anime fan worth their salt can spot the superiority that Log Horizon has over its older and bigger budgeted cousin. Lovable fun characters, a bigger and richer world, and best of all: the main character is not a one-man army! Shiroe is a spellcasting strategist that’s needs to rely on his teammates to get stuff done, not a sword-wielding solo player devoid of a personality that takes out boss monsters single handedly (I’m looking at you, Kirito!😤) something that any gamer can tell you will never happen in something like World of Warcraft!All-in-all, Log Horizon is a fantastic show! With season 3 coming out in 2020, now’s a good time to marathon this bad boy and see what all the hubbub’s about!

This is an amazing anime. I've heard that some people think the seasons move along a little too slow, but I love the pace of this anime and what it is about. The Blu-ray is great and works as intended.

I love the story. The reason I gave 4 Stars rather than Five is some of the inter episode music is Hip Hop! Loud Hip Hop! Annoying enough I mute it!!!!

Still have a few discs to get through, but so far so good.

I am so happy I was able to find this, it’s one of my favorite anime’s and the 3rd season just started (in Japanese) but season 1 was been removed from Hulu since September, and Funimation just added season 1 but is missing season 2. Thanks to this set I can rewatch the series once more.

Great execution of the Isekai/computer gaming genre. I was drawn in to the "game" and everything appeared to hold together nicely, at least as far as the world building concepts went. Character development was nicely done, just wish they would release more seasons, the ending of the series left me wanting a whole lot more... what happened after they ended the 2nd season?????

It was a good deal both seasons of the show in one nice neat package and came stupid quick
