This set has provided me with a variety of uses. I bought it to cut foam (and it does that great) but it also cuts and forms plastic. I have made a variety of items from custom killing cones for my chicken flock to halloween decorations (milk bottles cut into ghostly skeletal hands to decorate trees outside). You can shape the wire for any use and the knife cuts quickly and cleanly through most plastics (must use proper ventilation or outdoors). So far, the set has lasted a couple of years of light use. Very handy.

Compared to a previous product, this one cuts almost too fast. I had to change my habits to keep up with the capabilitiy of the product. Things go much more quickly now

This thing is awesome! Well worth the money. Cuts foamular 250 ( pink poly) 4x8 sheets full length non stop no problem.

Surprised with the changes since the last "Hot Wire" we purchased (junk). This is very nice. Solid. Can do great sessions for exhibit work and not just small "hobby" pcs. Would recommend it highly.
