The parts seem to be of good quality and fit just like the oem. This kit had all the necessary parts to do my water pump in 1 kit. Time will tell on how long it last. I will try and do a update later on how it performs.

Excellent kit! - Impeller was sturdy and flexible and the top plate was “ported” on the lip of the opening - Use a zip tie around the impeller blades to fold them in to help you get it in place as you insert in into the cup - (if you have some synthetic grease or lube you can use a dab to keep the impeller key in place, but if you use the zip tie and don’t have to fight it, it’s really easy to install! - Make sure to place the large seal on the shaft after replacing the top of the water pump housing and an o-ring near the top of the shaft in the groove under the splines (with marine grease) I didn’t use the spout since I use a section of well fit hose already, but I think the other o-ring may go under that spout - Great kit! Would get this one again for sure for the price!

Parts were a match for my 1989 Mercury 25 HP outboard. The quality of some materials is less than what was removed. The pump housing was of lighter gauge steel than the original unit. It flexed when torqued down. The rubber gasket was somewhat thicker than what was removed also. This probably caused some of the flexing due to being a wider gap to close. Not sure if this would have caused leakage. I re-used the original housing and gasket instead. The plastic spacers were also pretty cheap. Time will tell how those hold up. Not clear where some of the extra o-rings are to be used. None were needed to replace what was removed. None of the YouTube videos show these items being used either. Bottom line…..the water pump is working and I have flow through the tell-tale again in the test tank. Have not run it in open water yet.
