I have a variety of antennas that I can choose from and this was a solid and simple choice for me since it is small, compact, and can be mounted fairly inconspicuously. I have it mounted on my window in my office connected to my SDR radio with a BNC to SMA adapter. The bands that I'm most interested in are UHF and 7/800mhz and it seems to work fairly well in this part of the spectrum. On Noaa Weather which transmits line of sight about 12 miles I'm seeing their signal at -54db which is actually excellent and on UHF and 7/800 the performance is about the same. Overall a good little antenna with an extremely low profile.

The length of the cable was too short for me to use. My scanner is in the middle of the truck and I needed about an 8ft cable to place the antenna where I wanted it.

This antenna works great for 2-way communication up to about 300ft other then that is only receives and can not transmit after that

Installation was fast and easy, however reception was not very good.

For the price the cable should be alot longer. I'm using it for my Whistler scanner which is mounted under the dash an I wanted to put this antenna above my rear view mirror but cable way to short.

Could be better doesn't pick up scanner frequencies very well.
