Same as with other reviewers. The pin at the pivot point fell out when hand washing. I would give it 5 stars if it hadn't fallen apart and I would have given in 1 star if I had lost the pin. As it is, I can put the pin back in and still use it. But the pin does keep on falling out which is a sort of frustrating.

This is a nice garlic press. The weight and feel in your hand is good. The press appears to be very sturdy and well made. This tool performed as desired pressing the garlic quickly and virtually effortlessly. The center post is free moving and self centers in the garlic cup as you press. The cushioned handles were easy on the hands Clean up was a breeze, as the skins of the pressed garlic came up with the center post when the tool was opened to reload more garlic into the cup.I have had several expensive presses that frankly, did not hold up for a very long time. This press seems to be well made and very reasonably priced. It looks like the beginning of a beautiful relationship!I would recommend this kitchen tool for anyone who likes cooking with fresh garlic.

I love the press, but the hinge pin keeps coming out. I have to be careful and make sure it stays in so I don'g loose it. It is a heavy press and easy to use.

I ordered two of these garlic presses on October 16. I unwrapped one of them for my home. I was out of town from 11/1 - 11/16. Today is November 20, I used the press and the pivot pin holding it together fell out. I opened the other package and see that the pivot pin on it is also defective. The sad part is that its been over "30" days and I cannot return them.

Difficult for small hands to really crush the garlic cloves. A grown man will have no problem with this, but some women with smaller hands may find themselves wishing for more leverage--perhaps longer handles.That being said, a firm squeeze leaves almost no waste, and the skin from each clove lifts free easily. A great addition to the kitchen for those who enjoy fresh garlic.

It is really hard to squeeze the garlic out.

My first review ever - only because of my total dissatisfaction with this product. After within two weeks my first one broke - the company was nice enough to send me a replacement. However after using it for about a year the second one broke as well - this time beyond repair.I know they mean well, but products needs to be better tested before selling it to the public
