Perfect as studio sweat towels!
Purchase these to use at my Yoga Studio for sweat towels. My clients love the offering, and the towels have held up great. The size is perfect to use as a sweat towel or a hand or face towel. The towels wash well - I throw them in the washing machine with bleach every time to sanitize and an extra hot water, and I have not had them shrink, discolor or color fade. The texture is a bit rougher, however, after a few washes, they feel similar to your traditional hand, towel or washcloth. The towels do not shed a lot when washing or using. Highly recommend for simple towel solution or cleaning clothes.

Thick and fluffy
These are a very nice surprise, the towels are true towels with terry loops and a thick loose weave. I use them to replace paper towels and they’ve held up well. They came out of the package flattened like cardboard and morphed into the fluffy things they are after one wash. FWIW they are maybe 12”x13” after washing, I expected some shrinkage and that didn’t affect how well they performed. They are so thick and fluffy it was not worth taking away a star because these are fantastic cloths for the price. If you found this review helpful please click below, thanks!

Good for the price; shrink a bit; clear the lint filter in your dryer!
On first wash, they shrank to about 13 1/2 x 15, which I am happy with as that is closer to the size I wanted. The first cycle they produced a large amount of lint, clearing the lint filter in the dryer a couple of times in the cycle is strongly recommended. About 10 of them had some threads coming loose sufficient to warrant getting out the scissors. They have no pesky labels to remove. They are really terrycloth and so, absorbent, unlike the flat cotton weave used in some tea towels.

I hate how these are hit or miss. This was far right.
I buy a lot of these type towels. Sometimes they are great. Sometimes they are not. These are close to the worst.I want 9x8.75 towels that are relatively thick. I'm not looking for a bar towel that is going to last me ten years. I do not want a bar towel that can't even last me four months. That would be these.I've bought this exact model from Amazon and this seller before, They are not the same. These are thin towels that will likely be useless after 3 wash cycles. Out of the box, they are close to useless.I don't know what do do about this. Sometimes I get a decent towel that is moderately think. Sometimes I get the same type but it shrinks by at least 1/4. Still nice and thick, but now about the size of a face cloth. Then, too often even though I believe I've ordered the same towel from the same company, they're disposable after the third wash.I could tell these were garbage the instant I pulled one from the box. Thin, rough, and useless soon.I kind of get this. If you're are a huge company in China or India or wherever these come from, and you're selling through Amazon, why not? Amazon is really great about replacing products that are broken or didn't get delivered. You've got to give it up to them for that. I don't see how they could check for consistent quality for something like this. Apparently, this company, and others, send out whatever comes out of their looms knowing that we are most likely going to accept their trash, especially knowing the next order might not be rough toilet paper. I cannot buy from them again. I can't afford a 50% failure rate.I think this is the root of free market, globalization. It's a roll of the dice. I lost this hand.

Exactly as expected
For roughly $.50 a towel, you can't beat the product. Realistically, they're not the highest thread-count, dense terry towel of a high-end washcloth or hand towel. However, for kitchen use, utility use, these are ideal. I noted very few "seconds" (ones with a stray hem stitch or misshapen) - clean, right angles and stitched well. They're super-absorbent (as 100% cotton should!), soft and well suited for lots of odd jobs around the house. Not a dinner napkin* for guests necessarily (*per product image), but you could certainly use it as such and be fine - I do!If they do begin falling apart after a few washes and high-heat/bleach rounds to sanitize, I'll update my post to status. Realistically that will happen over time, and I'm good with that. I think they'll stand up to the job.

Goat Kidding
My review may seem odd...but these towels are my favorite for my kidding "kit" for nigerian Dwarfs. The size is great to be able to keep about 20 in my.kit and these towels are not super soft, which is exactly perfect. I need towels that were more "rough" to help clear away all the amniotic sac and fluid from babies. I have used my original set for several years now and will be purchasing more. They have been washed a million times and bleached and held up great. Highly recommend for what I'm using mine for.

Drop in quality on 3rd purchase
<<< These are looped cotton towels. Very happy with this brand and plan to buy more. >>>UPDATE: After purchasing 2 packages of 60 great towels each, this 3rd purchase saw a dramatic drop in quality from the previous 2 packages. Whereas the first 2 packages had cotton loop piles that were very soft and plentiful, more like a terry bath towel or hand towel, this 3rd package had cotton loops that were more sparsely populated, that seemed to pull out very easily, made up of a stiffer material, and the quality even seemed to vary within that same package, towel to towel, some much better than others, but none as good as the previous packages had been. IOW, these towels from my latest purchase are more like shop towels than bar towels. And they were all "contaminated" with black thread and black fuzz. It seems to speak to a drop in quality control. Very disappointed, can no longer recommend.
