Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets: Gryffindor Edition Red

Not only did I get this a day earlier than it said, but when I opened the shipping box the book was wrapped in plastic to protect it as well. There was a sticker with a barcode on the back but I was able to get it off fine. (Just take your time and be patient and it will come off perfectly). The actual book is beautiful! There is a map of Hogwarts and some pages with info on Gryffindor house in the front and back. I love it and cannot wait to get all 7 books in my Gryffindor colors!

Beautiful edition of the book. Colors are stunning and the pictures full of detail on the cover and inside the book. The extra Gryffindor information inside is fun. There is even a fun quiz to challenge the best HP fans. As an American, it is also fun to read the original UK published version of the book.

I just started reading the Harry Potter books and didn’t realize they had a variety to chose from. My book came in perfect condition with a few scuffs that looks like I can just wipe away but most likely due to packaging since there was nothing protecting the book. It is a bit smaller than expected but that’s ok.

Got my book on time. No damage. Book was smaller that I expected. Although to be fair, the size is described in the product details section. (Should have read it more closely). Size is 8 x 5. (8 inches tall, 5 inches across). Everything else as described. Pages are clean. Fonts are not too small. Nice edition of the Harry Potter series. If you already have the editions that came out originally, then you may not need this edition. Nothing new added. Just packaged differently. You can get the book in different house colors. My version was the Gryffindor edition. Edge of the book in the same color as the cover. If you choose a different house, the book edges will be in that color also.

Was perfect on arrival! I was really worried reading reviews that the cover was torn and bent and what not, but mine came and was absolutely perfect! An excellent addition to my collection and a great “my house is better than yours” to my Hufflepuff boyfriend.

I've read the American version, and thought I'd try the original. I like the original vocabulary. Example, using "shan't " instead of "won't ". It might be helpful for American kids to learn new words. Of course, I love the story.

I was only missing one book. All my other books are first edition and I thought why not spice it up and make the set not match. The Weasleys would be very proud.

I am long-time lover of the Harry Potter books, but my original collection ranged from paperback to hard back, and after I purchased them all as ebooks, I decided that I should pass my physical copies on the the local library. But I realized that I rather liked the idea of having a nice set of the books on my library shelves, so I decided to start collecting these anniversary editions. They're compact, beautifully bound, and have wonderful additional information. I'm just sad to think that it will take me years to complete the set!
