Great value!
Excellent speakers & an excellent value! I purchased them for our hard-wired Sonos system. I was a bit hesitant, because all our other speakers are very high quality, but they got great reviews, so I gave them a chance. I’m glad I did! They were very easy to connect, their style looks great in our mid-century modern den and the sound is clear, crisp and has a nice range. They work great for our smaller den- I’m not sure they would be adequate for a large room- but they are perfect for our needs.

Try them, you won't be disappointed
I couldn't believe the sound quality from these bookshelf sized speakers!! Really good full range and plenty of bass without sounding buzzy or hollow or tinny. I have sensitive ears and really appreciate higher quality stereo equipment. Got these as a gift for my father in law to use with his old school Realistic monster receiver for the front channels, they really filled their huge living room with sound while I was getting the back channels set up. Would definitely be sufficient all by themselves. They sounded just as good as his old school Realistic Mach IIs that he had professionally redone, and that's really saying something!I really like the woodgrain, it looks nice with the maple/walnut wood tones on the vintage receivers.I think they sound better turned to the side, facing to the left and right of the listening space. You might want to pick up extra speaker wire, I found the wire to be a bit short myself, but I like a lot of separation between each speaker. Personal preference I guess.Great value overall! Remember these are passive speakers, not powered, so they are meant to be connected to an amplifier/receiver.

A Great Value
These speakers are solid performers for a moderate to small sized room. I have them in a small bedroom. At low volume, there is minimal bass distortion with the audio. The woofers aren't 12 inches, so the compact size of these cabinets compromise a sonic trade-off. The quality of the design and of the workmanship is very good. Is the sound Klipsch premium? (Two Klipsch systems are in my household). No, but for most people, these P12 Edifiers sound great and are a very good value. I like them.

Good Sound, still a bit disappointed
I'm a casual music listener, so please forgive that I don't really know how to discus audio gear with authority./UPDATE/As described below, I have hooked up these speakers to my PC along with an inexpensive Fossi amplifier, and the sound is amazing. It is without a doubt, the best sound my ancient Lenovo Desktop has produced. Even though they weren't suitable for the task I bought them for, they remain high value for the money!/End/I bought these (along with a Denon N10, reviewed separately) to partly replace my Como Musica AIO and internet radio . But Como went out of business in January of 2023 (RIP Como, you will be missed). Then my Como went dead from what appeared to be static electricity from my wife's hand. And THEN Frontier internet radio aggregator sent me a letter saying if I wat to continue using my Internet Radio, I need to pay a subscription fee! Enough whining! The sound of these speakers is quite good considering their size, though they are bigger than the speaker enclosure of my Musica. And they DO sound good. However, they are unable to replicate. . . the audio 'presence' of the Como. Even though the specs aren't all that different, the audio 'presence' of the Edifier speakers seem somehow thinner than that of the well tuned Como AIO.I hooked up a pair of 15 year old much larger Cerwin-Vega bookshelf speakers (model unknown, abt 3X the size, with maybe 5 inch woofers) to the new Denon AIO receiver, and the improvement was astounding. The improvement in presence (and the bass, which I suspect is key to what I am looking for, is better than the Como.I'm not going to return them, as I suspect pairing them with my very good, but cheapie, Fossi amp will improve the sound from my Desktop PC.I would buy them again, but not for the reasons I bought them. I clearly need more bass than these little guys can produce. They sound good, real good, and they are beautiful, but they can't do what I wanted them to do.

Great bookshelf speakers!
I just got a pair of these and I would say that I'm very impressed. These are really nice speakers for the money and size, I definitely would purchase again. Just my opinion, coming from a sound engineer of 41 years if that makes a difference.
