Product Description Players: 3-7 Time: 20 min. Age: 10+ Startups" is the updated version of an older Oink Game which came out in 2015 and won the second prize at Game Market Tokyo: "Rights". We upgraded the rules, the design and it is even possible to play with more players now! Every player takes the role of an investor and needs to try to invest in at least one of six startup companies to get the biggest shares. Only the player with the most cards of one company can get money in the end, which is why you need to carefully watch the moves of your rival players and thus become the top investor. Although the game has a short playtime like our other games, it has a more extensive game play than the others. To make the original game even more interesting, we added "the market", the "Anti-Monopoly-Chip" and more. The rules are still as simple as they were, but if you have played "Rights" before you should notice a new depth to it. The logos of the six startup companies were designed by Kentaro "ANI" Fujimoto who is a famous typographer in Japan. We recommend talking about the different logos and about what kind of company stands behind it - it's fun! Review: One of the best Oink games - Amazing game, and a reasonable price too. It's a lot of components in a fairly small box, but is quick to learn and a lot of fun with a good group. Review: Great game - So much fun! Great delivery

One of the best Oink games
Amazing game, and a reasonable price too. It's a lot of components in a fairly small box, but is quick to learn and a lot of fun with a good group.

Quick fun game easy to learn
So I finally played this game and it was a lot of fun. It may seem like a lot to learn at 1st due to the instructions but it is really simple. You can also check out their official video which teaches the game very well (they have annoying stop motion and annoying voice) but that’s not the end of the world as they get the point across. You need fair amount of space to play the game so ensure you are playing on a table as the cards need to be spread out. It’s very fast paced which I liked. I like that it’s in a small box as this seems to be a new trend in games. The quality of the cards and chips are very nice if that’s something you maybe concerned about. Would say buy the game and enjoy it.

Clever little game that's great for the pub
Startups is the kind of game that you play once, realise all the mistakes you made the first time around and immediately want to play it again to fix those mistakes. Personally I love the subtle bluffs that come out when playing this, choosing to let a card you need 'ride' round the table to gather some extra coins can be incredibly nerve wracking and you'll need your best poker face when you casually take the card back for yourself, with a little extra tip too. As a slight con I find that it's a little tricky to teach smoothly as you have to jump back and forth explaining but a quick open faced demo round works best but this shouldn't put you off from a purchase.

Challenging without complication, quick but replayable
Really happy with this, has become a fun starter for our gaming group. For such a small game which can be played easily within 30 minutes, there is potential for good tactics in this game and plenty of replayability. Great small game for travel and quick games.

Great game but the box is not in English
It's a great game but the box is not in English as advertised. A quick search online after it turned up revealed that this is the multiligual edition with a German box. There are rules inside in French, German, Spanish, Dutch, Italian and English so it's perfectly playable but it's not what was advertised.
