I was impressed right from the start with the beautiful and nicely-designed packaging. The drone itself is incredibly compact and portable. I can literally pop it in my pocket and go. Operation is straightforward, and as a complete beginner, I was able to learn how to use it right away. The image quality is clear, and the follow mode works wonderfully. Even when I’m running or moving quickly, it keeps up smoothly without losing track. I’m looking forward to seeing how it performs on my upcoming hiking trip. I started out with the X1 and then decided to upgrade to the Pro. The AI technology behind its ability to capture videos and photos or even follow you effortlessly is amazing. It’s definitely super user-friendly, making it perfect for beginners and experienced drone users. One of my favorite features is its portability. Thanks to the folding design, it’s easy to pack and travel with, so I can take it anywhere without any issues. The overall build quality, intelligent features, and ease of use make this drone standout compared to other. So I was looking on amazon one day and I wanted to find a drone that was built well, was easy to use/operate nad had a really good camera. This is the drone that I decided to try out. This drone comes with a usb c to usb c charging cable, a charging block, 2 batteries, a charger for both batteries, a small bag for the drone and a large bag for the drone and accessories. The drone is small enough to fit easily in your hand when folded up. The drone was very easy to operate. I simply hold the power button for a brief period and the drone turns on. Afterwards, I can select the mode I want to work with whether it is hover, follow, birds eye view, orbit or even ski mode. Once I select the mode I prefer for my needs, I press the button once, allow the drone to rest on my hand and in a few seconds, the drone lifts off while maintaining focus on its target, the one you intend to photograph/record. The drone has an app that makes it easy to see what the drone is looking at, when to start/stop video and to help choose the best moments for that special photo. It’s a great photographer on the go. This is drone has a 4k camera which is great for capturing family memories, scenery or just high video in general. I am really impressed with how well the drone stabalizes itself to take great photo and video. Overall, this drone has a lot of value. So much to offer and I cant wait to utilize for family and business events. I look foward to using it. I suggest you give it a try as well.

To overcome this issue, I purchased three extra batteries, which allows me to extend my flying time and capture more footage. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my purchase of the HOVERAir X1 PRO. Despite the relatively short battery life, I believe that this drone is well worth the investment. Sorry, Drone does NOT work for Mountain Biking: I purchased this drone specifically for Mountain Biking. Unless you are a road biker or very, VERY mild trail rider with NO obstacles, this drone does not function as stated. I used it with & without Beacon riding incredibly slow, and it still lost me and/or got lost in the tress. Even hit a tree once on an open turn and broke the camera. I got another replacement unit for further testing and could not get it to follow me with any satisfaction. Maybe if I rode very slow it could track me, but I don't ride slow. I hoped the Beacon would help it track me, but alas, the drone could not keep up other than a walking pace. For any other use, I imagine it would be fine, but not for $500 & $800 with Beacon.

I'm a little late to this party - I have the original HoverAir X1, which has served me well. I upgraded to the X1 Pro, with the combo package that includes 2 extra batteries, the charger, and the 65w wall wart; and the Controller Combo, which has the beacon and two joysticks in a case. The HoverAir X1 Pro can fly higher and further than the original X1, but retains all the easy to use features. With the beacon and joysticks, it can be flown like a traditional drone, but still using the ease of launch and retrieve on the palm of your hand. Battery life is improved with the "smart" batteries, lasting up to 16 minutes. The beacon and joysticks connect quickly. If you choose to, you can also use your phone through the Hover app to control on Manual Mode. The X1 Pro has a built in cage surrounding the props - it is flexible and durable. The price is higher than the original X1, but the added features and capabilities are well worth the price - this is a camera drone that will get more use, because it is easy to use.

UPDATE: The seller contacted me swiftly and they made things right. I had purchased a repair kit directly from them, and completed repairs. The kit itself deserves 5 stars. Well packaged and everything needed was included. I have since been flying and putting the Hover through all it's flight modes. Very impressive. I have ordered the Beacon and Joystick set, and can't wait to integrate them into my flying. I've already convinced my daughter to get one for her naturalist video program at the arboretum where she works. I started with a Phantom in 2013, and had been using that brand since. This is definitely a better experience. I've been a UAS Remote Pilot for more than 5 years, and can highly recommend this drone. ( I fell for the hype. Despite their claims that its almost indestructible, the drone hit a tree branch, shut off, and fell 20 ft to a lawn. Of course it broke. So much for obstacle avoidance. Over 20 bucks for a repair kit. I had less than 10 short flights just trying it out, and now I wait for repairs. I've owned 6 drones, and this is the first to fail like this. Lesson learned. )
