Just received this, put it together BY MYSELF, in 20 minutes. Easy peasy! I'm a 75 year old, 5'1", 120 pound female. I had ordered something else from Amazon which was MDF, had damaged hardware and was returned. So glad I did. This is wood (I got the brown), sturdy, and stylish...and only $20 more than the MDF piece. You won't be sorry if you get this!

I bought this bench to put by my door to put on and take off shoes. I put a tray under the bench for the shoes. its super cute and very sturdy!

Came in with no damage to product, but box was beat up a bit. Was easy to put together as I did this myself even though they said it would take two people to put together. I was able to lean pieces on a wall to complete assembly.

I bought this bench based on the photos. When it arrived it ended up being a perfect match to the cabinet I have in the exact same color, distressed style. Then I realized they are both Ashley Furniture, which by the way, if you can find, is straight up quality. All solid wood products at great prices and are nothing like the Amazon furniture poor quality I run across often. Buy Ashley Furniture on Amazon! It’s the real Ashley. Ends up my 2 pieces, bought years apart, are from the same collection! I feel so lucky that this happened! I love my pieces!

I'm 74 years young and I put this together in 45 minutes by myself. Had to download instructions as they were not included. It a perfect fit at the foot of my guest bed. So glad I got this piece. Worth every cent.

There was a very strong smell coming out of the wood, peculiar to a certain type of wood.We managed to clear it off by wetting the bench and parts then let it dry outdoor for a few hours.

Was easy to put together with no problems. Grandson loves climbing up so I can put his shoes on and then he puts all his gear in the bench. We changed the lid hinges to slow close the lid wouldn't drop on his fingers. The finish is distressed and not perfect but it still looks OK.

Had orange paint spots on the lid

This was fairly easy to put together once the screw holes were lined up and it seems very sturdy. We like the compact design and the fact that it goes well with our more traditional furnishings.

I purchased this item in good faith. I was within the timeframe for returning the unit. It was cracked on the leg. They wouldn't take it back. Cheap Crap.... buyer beware. PS... no phone no email nothing to communicate with the company!!!
