While other air purifiers use two or three types of filtration, the Intelli-Pro Air Purifier uses seven: a HEPA filter, an activated carbon filter, an ionizer, a photocatalytic (TiO2) filter, a germicidal UV lamp, a washable pre-filter, and an electrostatic dust collector. The Intelli-Pro's HEPA filter is proven in clinical air chamber tests to remove 99.97% of airborne particles in areas up to 600 square feet. The activated carbon filter is effective against chemicals, odors, and cigarette smoke, and the UV lamp kills bacteria and other microorganisms. The Intelli-Pro's reusable collector grid uses magnetic force to trap pollutants and help lengthen the life of the other filters.Sensor Technology Removes GuessworkWith the Intelli-Pro, there's no guesswork, just clean air. The Intelli-Pro's unique self-monitoring system gives you instant, easy-to-read feedback about the purifier's performance. A Clean Air Monitor uses indicator lights to let you know how clean or polluted the air is. Additionally, odor, dust, and allergen sensors tell you exactly which pollutants are present in the air, an ideal feature for those with allergies. And thanks to the Intelli-Pro's Filter Indicators, you'll never have to worry about forgetting to clean or replace the filters. The indicators illuminate when it's time to clean the metal dust collector plate or replace the HEPA filter or activated carbon filter. Quiet, Efficient OperationThe Intelli-Pro lets you enjoy purified air without noise pollution. The quiet setting provides nearly silent operation, while the high setting provides boosted performance without a lot of noise. As efficient as it is quiet, the Intelli-Pro has a low-volume fan and multiple air inlets for maximum airflow. Additionally, sensor technology automatically adjusts the purifier's settings to reduce energy consumption.Warranty InformationThe Intelli-Pro comes with a 30-day risk-free guarantee. Within 30 days of purchase, if you're not completely satisfied with the purifier, you may return it for a full refund. After many days of research for a premium Air Purifier for my Bedroom/ 1000sq/ft Two bdm apartment I choose this model. Based on the reviews and as well as the price point I decided to order directly from "Amazon warehouse." After a week of use I have to say this is a impressive machine. It arrived a week after purchase in a custom box with the picture and information on the outside describing the product. Inside wrapped in plastic and Styrofoam sat my new Intelligent purifier. Make sure to follow the manual ( which can be kinda vague in set up) upon unboxing to set up the "auto" mode correctly. "Auto mode" Setup; Unbox, place in room where is will be used. Set on High for a 2-8 hours with windows open if the air is really polluted. After the air has been cleaned to desired quality, turn unit off. Unplug for 30 secs, then plug it back it. All the lights will flash, then power up the unit (which is most likely on High still) the odor light will blink for 3 minutes, taking a baseline odor sensor of the surrounding air. Once "odor" stops blinking it has determined the air around the unit is considered "clean" and will use that as a baseline for odors. Now simply press Flow to "Auto" and its now sniffing the air to determine the fan speed automaticly. Note: Everytime you unplug, (such as cleaning the filters) you will have to reset the memory so the computer will know what clean air is. Also after a day or two, the sensor will get more sensitive.Besides the unboxing setup, this system is plug and play. Its 4 different fan speeds give you plenty of control to determine noise factor. Even on High Its not a annoying and could continue a conversation 6ft away just fine. The machine is smart, telling you when to clean the Electrostatic Filter as well as the Carbon/Hepa Filter. After Unboxing for the first time I took the unit apart down to the fan. Other reviews said it was difficult to take apart or clean the filters. If you have 15 minutes, some common sense, read the manual cover to cover, watch a few youtube videos of this unit or the "clones" being cleaned you will have no trouble. Also this machine is interesting with all the air cleaning technologies i just had to check out all the pieces before start-up. Yes it has quite a few pieces with all the different cleaning technologies and will take some maintenance to take care of your investment but I wanted a fully loaded air purifier and I got it.Performance: The unit does clean the air very well and I am Satisfied with the job it does. It has only been a week but it is exactly what I wanted. I live with a small dog and a stubborn smoker that smokes inside our Two Bedroom (1000sq/ft) Apt. I wanted a premium purifier for my bedroom and to help with the stale air inside. During the day i run the unit at Medium with my door open in my "14x14" bedroom, then Low at night. If i choose to Ill kick it up to High but medium does a great job and the noise is below a quite conversation (High is avg conversion level.)I place the unit at my door entry, 3 feet away from myself and electronics. Also between me and the smoker in the living room. The Auto sensor is not quite as sensitive as i like it to be, which is why I manually set it and forget it. I found about a 4-6 feet radius around the unit to detect farts and dust. For smoke just has to be in the same room, but i wanted the purifier more in my room so the door entry is middle ground. The Customer service is great, they answered all my questions. Just shoot them a email or call between 10-2pm mountain time. They sent me out a new odor sensor and board to see if that makes the sensor any more sensitive. All free which is part of the 3 year warranty that you get.All in all, the product is as described and does what i need it to do. It's a premium air purifier with all the different technologies packed into a knee high unit that doesn't take up a lot of space. Its affordable to operate, can clean the whole unit and filters minus the $35 Carbon/Hepa combo(which could get 3-12months out of depending on use.) For $199.99 + free shipping you can't beat this system that could keep up with $500+ systems. 5 Stars.(UPDATE: After after 3 weeks of having the unit running, I am still happy with it. I got in touch with the customer service again to check on my free replacement dust + odor sensor + motherboard. They are shipping it out monday because they had to tear another unit apart to send me a replacement fan blower wheel. Mine is slightly off center and I will be opening up the whole unit to replace the odor sensor and motherboard combo. Makes sense to replace the blower as well. All free and under warranty but still has been 5 business days to send it out. But I understand and their honoring the warranty so I can wait just fine. As for performance, its still doing a good job and the air is way cleaner that's for sure. I looked at the pre-filter through the face plate and its getting full of pollution. I run on Medium through the day and Low @ night when im sleeping in the bedroom. I love having 4 very different fan speeds plus Automatic detection. I live with a smoker and you have to place the machine very close to the odor or pollution. About a 4-6 radius around the unit for farts and dust, smoker has to be in the same room. But that's the point of the replacement sensors ill be receiving soon, to see if those are more sensitive. I'll update again after install. You do have to be careful when cleaning the unit, like other reviewers have said, the Tabs on the face plate are plastic and have to be take care opening and cleaning the unit. Its pretty standard plastic and construction from anything made in china though. Just take your time when coming in contact with the unit such as cleaning it. Don't be in a rush and don't force anything. I've taken mine apart once a week so far just to see dust and also curious on how the gusts are doing after 24/7 use. But for the $200 price tag i think you get what you pay for and more. The performace is of a $500+ machine but that comes with some budgeting else where like the tabs on the face plate represent a $200 budget air cleaner. If you take care of the delicate parts youll get 5 years out of it at least. Also Did AMP draws on the unit for each setting and it could be energy star certified.HIGH - 0.44 Amps MED - 0.34 AMPSLOW - 0.27 AMPSQUIET - 0.21 AMPSAUTO - 0.18 AMPSTo figure out how much your devices cost to run, see these formula:Watts = Amps * VoltsKilowatts = Watts/1000Kilowatt-hours = kilowatts * Hours usedCost = kilowatt-hours * cost per kilowatt-hourOrCost = (((Amps * Volts)/1000) * Hours Used) * Cost per KilowattYou could also do like I did and split an old extension cord (so you can clamp on to a single wire), then plug one end into the wall, and your device into the other end. Then you can measure the draw of just that device.Running this unit on HIGH in my local area @ $0.12 cents a KWH , only cost me $4.56 to run 24/7 per MONTH. LESS THAN $5 IN POWER TO HAVE CLEAN AIR per month. Sounds good to me. END. )(Update 2 : I Received replacement parts in the mail. The packaging was the same before. They also sent me the whole back chassis w/ blower motor. I installed a new odor sensor + motherboard, Dust sensor, and replaced the back chassis + blower wheel. It was very easy with a simple standard Phillips and flat screwdriver, just make sure their dedicated tools( no multi bits, The two screws on top are embedded a few inches down and no multi drives will fit.) After resembling and following start up protocol, I switched the unit into "Auto" mode. Waited for my roommate to smoke in the living room, that connects to my bedroom where the unit spends its time. Sure enough "Dust" and "Odor" LEDS light up to kick the fan into "Medium". I really like how they designed the unit to go to Medium and transition down to "Quiet". Fan Speed is still in "Quiet" even when in ''Auto" just the LED turns to "Auto". Going to HI setting automatically every time would not be comfortable noise level, Say at night when your sleeping. Replacement sensors solved my problem and it works like a charm now.The new Blower wheel was attached to a new chassis for easy install. All I had to do was drop the guts of the old unit and place them into the new chassis when i put the motherboard. Though once reassembled the new motor or wheel was off balance, which gave the unit a wobble. So i just unscrewed the six screws to drop the guts back into the old chassis with original blower. My original one is off slightly but its only to the eye looking at it spin. It is still silent and has zero vibration. I was just going to try to prevent a problem down the road.Besides that the unit is operating as it should and I'm still happy with the purchase. The 3 year warranty they give you covered all the replacement parts I had them send me. Customer service was helpful the whole way. I recommend this product based of my experience so far. )Other "Clones" on the Surround Air Version:Heaven Fresh Naturopure HF-380,AliveAir,Real Spirit Newport 9000,Advanced Pure Air Air Shield,Maier bioHepa Hybird,Neotec XJ-3800,Gemni BioHEPA,AirPodCleaner Airpod AS^Avoid this clones, they are priced higher all around and don't have the same benefits that Surround Air provides.Cfms :Quiet: 35-45 cfmLow: 55-65 cfmMed: 93-98 cfmHi: 106cfm^straight from surround air engineers

Cool idea on paper but....
Had it about 15 days. Its a great idea - every kind of filtration in one package - but i learned some things aren't needed/effective and it has some mechanical issues .First thing. After about a week and a half i turned it up to high speed. Noticed it had a wobble. Very noticeable vibration. So then i opened it up to see if the filters needed cleaned. Glad i did before my 30 days were up. I noticed the web pre filter ( which the web ones are good by the way ) it doesn't seal. ALL filters in a air purifier should seal. The electronic filter ( notice i didnt say electrostatic, there is a difference ) but it looked fine but its hard to tell if its working as dry particles will stick to metal sometimes anyway. Then a big problem - the heppa/charcoal filter DID NOT SEAL ! If you tipped the unit forward , it would fall out ! Same with the Tio2 filter. This is totally unacceptable . The other thing i noticed is - for a filter that has an electronic grid filter and a negative ionizer - it didnt have any fresh or sweet smell coming out of it. I find that odd. I have another cheaper electronic filter with ionizer and it has the ' pure air ' smell.lastly , i learned after further research that all most people need with the air issues we are all having is a true hepa with a real activated carbon filter. Sure the electronic filter may extend the life of the hepa , but it doesnt really do anything extra. A hepa will remove dust, pollen, mold spores etc and TRUE carbon filter ( not the cheesy carbon impregnated pre filters ) will remove VOC's and gasses INCLUDING car pollution . Other than that, you don't really need the rest. But i will say its a good idea for people who feel having all the filtration types will help...only if it was put together right. 3 of the filters not sealing is totally not acceptable . Especially if you have severe sensitive allergies.I really wanted this to work . If they tweaked the design it might . My next filter will only have true hepa and true activated carbon. Nothing else.

Not Effective Against Tobacco Smoke
This product is not effective against tobacco smoke.I reside in a 575 sq feet apartment. I do not smoke but my new neighbor does and it infiltrates my apartment; five minutes in my apartment since he moved next door and I've got a sore throat.Purchased two of these units, on the basis of the reviews and manufacturer claiming they're effective against tobacco smoke, thinking I would have a "surplus" of capacity (they're rated for 500 sq feet), and that it might save me the necessity of having to move. It seems like a relatively well made product, and I can imagine that it may effective against some particulate pollution, simple odors, etc, but when it comes to tobacco smoke it makes no discernible difference. My apartment is just as unlivable as it was before I purchased this product. I can only surmise that the reviews claiming effectiveness against tobacco smoke come from smokers, who are likely nose blind and unable to detect the lingering odor from their destructive habit.E-mailed the company for suggestions on the most effective way to deploy these and was told to put it as close to the infiltration point as possible and to run them on "high" 24/7. I followed this advice but still could discern no difference. They get props for being responsive to customer e-mails but the product is making no difference in my circumstance. After my second contact they told me that I need to run the filter for "a few weeks" before I would discern a difference. Call me cynical, but that feels like an attempt to run out the clock on my 30 day return window. I ran it for another week after that, as they recommended, and then returned them to Amazon. $336.00 is too much money to spend on products that don't work.Time to look for a new place to live. :(

Great Quality
I'm very pleased with the quality of my Surround Air XJ-3800. I've had many air cleaners in my time and I wanted to try this model especially for the ion sensors and UV features. I could find neither of these features together in a single unit until now. Actually, I've found no other brand that still makes an air cleaner with negative ion sensors. This model has a well thought out design, sleek and solid, yet still light weight. The buttons and lights clearly indicate the current settings and warnings for filter replacement. Filters are easily accessed inside the chassis which is easy to open and close.I am sleeping better after only several weeks and visitors are commenting on the fresh air quality they notice as soon as they enter. I love my Surround Air Purifier! I'm so glad I bought one.

Excellent machine and good service for the parts
I am very serious about air quality. I had Bionaire for 25 years before. Surround Air Intelli-Pro Air Purifier is really the best machine on the market. I am very satisfied with the only machine that really has 7 steps of purifying air. Most of the Air Purifier machines on the market have 3 to 4 steps. There is no more odour in my house! Just received this week my first order for replacing filters and UV lamps. Despite the fact that there is no support by phone, Surround Air gave me an excellent service. I am very proud of my machine.
