A Must Have for I-Cord knitters!
What a smart tool! As someone who has manually knitted I-cords in the past, this little machine is an incredible time saver! Very easy to set up, very quiet and efficient! Solid construction, and only requires USB power. The knitting process is fairly hands off except for moving up the weight(s) and managing the twist of the cord as it is produced under the machine. Very highly recommended!

Good quality
Works well. Is better with lightweight worsted and DK. Needs both the weights for proper tension.

Makes icord hands free
I purchased this product because I am a machine knitter and I have lots of yarn ends and single skeins of yarn. I thought that I could make lots of icord from this yarn and do some stash busting and make some home decor products from the icord. I had originally purchased a hand crank version but it was very slow going, lots of work and not reducing my stash very fast. Enter an electric icord knitter.Pros: it makes icord without me cranking. It has very good directions with lots of pictures. It is very complete with crochet hook, weights. It came with a USB cord for power. It’s compact. Not super noisy.Cons: the motor is quite weak and labors with even small amounts of tension on the yarn. It’s quite slow. It requires constant attention, the weights need to be moved often. If the weights hit the floor, you’ll get dropped stitches and uneven cord. I can’t decide if the USB power is good or bad.I will definitely keep it and use it for smaller projects but it is not what I really need.

Nice worth the money
The media could not be loaded. Value for the money, functionality, its easy to learn I watched a few videos on YouTube the directions were pretty much the same. It may take a few times and a few mistakes but once you get it and learn how to deal with the weights, you can get a nice long beautiful rope.

Disappointed
This was a disappointment. I tried several times taking the learning curve into account. It still was a failure. The little white knob on the front consistently comes off when turning manually to get the process started. The knitted cord it made looks horrible. The stitch comes off the hook as it is turning resulting in dropped stitches and a cord with gaps in several areas. Other times the yarn bogs up even though the weights are on the end and it’s being monitored to ensure the yarn is continuously feeding through the guide; which lead to bulky area in the cord.

Too slow
It does make a nice cord if you follow the video instructions. Book is a little confusing. I must say though, that I’m disappointed and can’t tolerate the slow speed of the knitting. It’s painful. You just get the urge to push the yarn along! I’m returning it.
