Disney Princess Sofia the First Light Up Amulet Necklace

Very cute necklace for my three year old! It lights up very nicely and is bright.

The particular item we received was nothing like the actual Sophia necklace sold in Disney Stores. There was no sparkling liquid filling the amulet; and the necklace was of poor quality and cheaply made. I'm not an expert, but I would classify this as a cheap knockoff. Needless to say, we picked one up from the actual Disney Store as a replacement and the quality was most definitely superior.

This item is very pretty but breaks easily from the chain.

It feels lighter and flimsier than some other Disney models of this same necklace, with different beads. The ring that holds the amulet onto the necklace was removed when we received the necklace, so I had slipped it back onto the string and used pliers to close the ring. Unfortunately the ring is a soft aluminum and bends often, so we were always trying to fix it. I put a blob of hot glue on the ring to keep it closed, it's held so far but it's noticeable.

Purchased as a Christmas gift for the granddaughter of a dear friend. She put it on when she opened and from what I hear it was a battle royal to get it off to go to bed Christmas night. Truly a great gift for a 3-4 year-old. Great purchase, great gift.

The battery that lights up the amulet lasted less then 24 hours. There are actually 3 batteries and I have to replace all of them. Disney should be ashamed of themselves for making such crap. My 3 year old was a little bummed, to say the least.

I love this product for my granddaughter's dress up collection. However, a week after purchasing it found it for a third the price at the Disney Store in the mall!
