Easy to read and keeps mom on track.
Large enough to read from across the room with just the necessary daily information. It sets itself so no fussing with buttons. Although others were concerned because it isn't back-lit, we wanted it that way so the light doesn't disturb mom at night.

Only good for well-lit area
I bought this clock to replace a lighted/corded Geemarc clock I had for about 3 years (several power surges/outages in 1 day took it out). I liked that this one didn't have a cord ... and I knew that in order to have long battery life, this new clock would not have 'backlighting' and the power-efficient LCD screen would be more difficult to read. But this screen was *much* dimmer, and much harder to read than I thought it would be. As you can tell by my picture, I will need to find a new place to hang it.I was also excited to be getting a clock that I never had to set, since this one reads the time signals the US atomic clock broadcasts. But I let it sit for ~15 minutes with the 'antenna/tower' icon flashing, trying to find the signal, and it never set the time automatically. I even took it out on to the back deck for another ~20 minutes, and it still didn't set the time automatically. I finally got tired of waiting, and set it manually. I'm very skeptical that it will be able to find the signal to keep the time set correctly. (Maybe central NC is too far away from the atomic clock broadcast tower?)In short, this clock sounded like a good idea, but I would not buy it again.

ok
It's a little dark, but ok during the day in well lit area. It claims to be an atomic clock, but it does not sync. I followed the instructions to a "T" and still no time syncing. The directions said it may be due to building materials so I put next to a window as directions say. Still no time syncing (yes, I'm pressing the time sync button). I even put it outside and left overnight as the directions say at worse case, it will sync automatically at 3am. Guess what .. no sync. So basically it is not an atomic clock that time syncs. You have to manually set it yourself. I tried calling the company and just got a recording that said "leave a message" so I'll see if they actually call back. But I needed a 24 hour clock with the day & date that did not have the temprature - and this is the only one I could find.

No atomic signal
This clock is advertised as an atomic clock but it doesn't pick up the atomic radio signal. I have a different one that does pick up the signal so it's a product issue, not a location issue. It is easy to set manually but when you pay this price for an atomic clock you expect it to work as such.Easy to read when viewed straight on but as you view from the side other background symbols and artifacts show through making it slightly more difficult.Battery operated was the main factor in my decision to purchase this clock. Knowing what I know now, I would still purchase it again. Just be aware that it's not perfect.

Needs a dim back light
Like the clock but it need a back like to be seen at night. I got this clock so my mom could see the time date month and year. Unfortunately it can not be seen in the evening when only light is the lamps

Works better on a desk. Hard to read from across the room
Got this for my mom who has the beginnings of dementia. Also got another that is back lit and the numbers and letters are solid, but it needs to be plugged in. Unfortunately, this battery operated one is not good for what I needed it for. It will work fine if you are sitting at a desk and are close to it, but the battery operated back lit one is across the room from my mom and she can see it from her bed. Had hopes to use this battery operated one in the little living room but it can't be seen. Both her bedroom and her living room are only 8 feet x 8 feet, and her chair is about 6 feet away from the clock.

Not Correcting after DST Ends
Well, it’s now 9:49 AM EST on Sunday, November 3, 2019, daylight savings time ended at 2 AM this morning. The clock still has not corrected itself.Update: On Monday morning, November 4th, the clock had corrected for EST. The User Manual said it checks at 2 AM each day. Apparently the clock was early or the MSF signal had not corrected? Perhaps Geemarc should change the sync time to a later hour? I went from 3 to 4 stars.

large lettering
I gave this to my mother who is 95 years old. She wanted something for her bedroom that she could see at night. The clock is beautiful, but she can't see it at night as there is no light behind it or neon numbers. My fault. I also had a lot of difficulty setting this clock, but my sister did it right away. My fault. It is a very pretty clock and works great with the lights on.

Time is crazy seen.
The time is very large and easy to read from 12ft. The day and date are not as visible. I wish it had a back light. Unable to see it at all at night. I bought this for my husband to help him with orientation so I am disappointed that the day and dates aren’t more visible for him to see

Very hard to read.
How this clock is for elderly is beyond me. I can barely see the display. My mom with dementia cannot see screen at all unless held at a certain angle. Only positive is battery operated.
