Only great while it worked for a month
UPDATE : 1 Month Later - It DIED! Dead as a doornail in a MONTH people! Will not turn on, if it does turn on, it shuts itself off, if it manages to be on and running, the water pump won’t bring water up onto the filter. I have thrown in the proverbial towel and returned it. DO NOT BUY THIS. PROS: Works brilliantly! I live in a desert and usual humidity was around 5 - 10%. I suffered from frequent nose bleeds, dry skin and dry eyes. This little unit has kept my bedroom at a very comfortable 45% humidity. I have to refill it daily, but that’s understandable! Refilling it is extremely easy with a water pitcher. I have not spilled anything. The unit is extremely quiet, and once I figured out I could adjust the brightness of the display on the app I think it is a perfect humidifier. I would absolutely plan on using the app if you purchase the device. The functionality of the top display is such that you really are better off using the app. It works seamlessly once you get the controls down. CONS: Keep in mind that when using the included QR code to “register” the device you’re only guided into signing up for the blue air promotional emails which is why I’ve knocked one star off. You’ll need to use the email associated with the app, create an account on their website, and then go to register the device under the “devices and warranty” subheading using the serial number found on the back of the unit and your date of purchase from Amazon to actually register your device for the 3 year extended warranty.

Excellent humidifier, Elegant and super effective
I bought the Blueair H35i and I really loved it. It is very easy to use, has a modern design that looks nice in any room and works super quiet. Since I use it, the air feels much fresher and more comfortable, especially on dry or heated days. I like that it doesn't make annoying noise, it's easy to clean and really keeps a good humidity in the environment. You can tell that it is a good quality product and it is totally worth it. I recommend it 100% for bedrooms, living room or any space in the house.

Bluetooth can't be disabled, otherwise excellent
Warning, unable to disable bluetooth for those chemically sensitive. Being frusteratingly chemically sensitive, this product does not work for me because the bluetooth is built in. The product except that looks good. The customer service from blueair is honest and kind letting me know bluetooth could not be disabled. And Amazon allowed me to return this product. Excellent service all around. The hunidifier holds a lot of water compared to my other smaller one. It uses a wicking humidification technology instead of ultrasonic. The ultrasonic ones are annoyingly loud and make very small water particles. This seems more natural humidification humidifies an entire room. The water try seems easy to fill and clean. I hope blueair builds another version of this that allows bluetooth to be disabled because everything else seemed built well.

Update: Works! But lack of support still a concern
Update: I have it running again. I think what happens is that sometimes an air bubble will get into the pump and cause it to make a loud buzzing sound like a cheap aquarium pump. It can be fixed by emptying the water out of the pump and, with a bit of luck, refilling it without another air bubble getting in. I’ve had this happen several times but so far has always been fixable with some effort. I do very regular maintenance on the unit (we have hard water) to descale the filter and reservoir. This maintenance still takes less time then on ultrasonic humidifiers I have and using tap water instead of distilled has been awesome. The main issue I’m finding is a buildup of orange scale in the output hole from the pump and the hole it mates to, which doesn’t seem cleanable. That could be an issue in time. Still very disappointed in BlueAir’s customer support. ——— I really liked this at first. Humidifed well, allows a specific humidity to be set and then is pretty good at maintaining it, very quiet at least on the first 2 fan settings. But most of all, requires MUCH less maintenance (cleaning) than the ultrasonic humidifiers I had been using. So why 1 star? Because after 2 months of working well it started making a loud buzzing sound. The sound is coming from the pump. Obviously defective. So I go to the BlueAir website to get support and find that their website is broken. You can’t register the product which they require you to do to extend the paltry 1 year warranty, and when I try to submit an issue ticket that fails too. Terrible customer support. So hopefully they pickup the phone when I call them, which I hate to have to do. Could have been a good product, maybe I just got a bad unit, but the lack of support is a dealbreaker. I thought this was a good brand. Lesson learned.

Pretty but way too annoying
I wanted a humidifier for my living room, so I turned to trusty Wirecutter for a recommendation. They had recommended the Honeywell Cool mist humidifier back when I bought one for my bedroom in 2018, and I love it! Even despite it's clunky "brutalist" form factor it's low maintenance and reliable. However I can not recommend this Blueair humidifier. At 3x the price of my old honeywell... THE GOOD: The design is attractive. It's easy to clean. It's easy to fill. It works to humidify the air. THE BAD: It needs to be cleaned too often! With the water tank open to the air beneath the fan, it quickly collects dust and debris (hello potted palm frond) and the water gets funky (even with a "Cleaning Fish"). Also, it's loud! The sound of water trickling is constant, like I've got a fountain in my living room. It's very annoying. THE MEH: The app is easy to use, but I just don't care that much about it. Grabbing a separate $8 humidity sensor it would be very easy to manually turn the dial up/down. Not worth the extra cost IMHO to have an always on WIFI feature I can control from my phone.

What's the difference between the best rated ultrasonic versus evaporative humidifiers first
If you'll review the more popular options for humidifiers, you'll find two distinct possibilities: ultrasonics or evaporators. We previously owned the highest rated ultrasonic model that could handle our entire 1200 sq. ft. cottage, which was one-third of the price of the highest rated evaporator model. However the initial price is only a part of the value equation, ultimately proving to be much more expensive in the long run. You should also incorporate the need to use distilled versus filtered water for your source of supply. I decided to give this bedroom model a test before deciding on Blue Air's larger equipment. It is hand's down a better buy! it may not put out as much moisture per minute as the ultrasonics, but it'll get there and making the Blue Air much quieter for the bedroom. It is easier to fill, by pouring the water through the top crevice (be sure to have it turned off before filling) as opposed to having to take it apart, it's programming instructions are simple to follow, you clean it once each week, and not having to shell out $2.50/gallon for distilled water a couple times each week gives it tremendous value. I decided to also purchase Blue Air's larger capacity machine for our living room area. It's every bit as good as their bedroom model!

Broke within 2 weeks. DO NOT RECOMMEND
I purchased this thinking it would be useful. For the first couple of weeks, it worked really well. I was filling it up twice a day to maintain the humidity. After that, it started to not work. I noticed it was leaking, but I thought that was due to user error (turns out, it was not). I also noticed the pump stopped working and the humidity was staying around 25% instead of the 40% to 50% I was aiming for. The wick was also staying bone dry, proving the pump was not working. I took the pieces apart, put in fresh water, and tried again to no luck. I then was hearing a noise coming from the machine, almost like a clicking sound. I then contacted customer service, where they told me to do a citric acid soak for 2 hours after I did a hard reset. That did not work. Instead, the clicking noise stayed longer than I would have liked, but the pump did not work. I tried the hard reset again, but that also was not working. I called this morning to see about getting a new pump, and they refused simply because I purchased on Amazon, and it is still in the return window, refusing to start honoring the 1 year warranty option. (And they make it impossible to set up to register the product to ensure you get a 3 year warranty, but that is a separate issue.) I ended up doing more research as well when the pump stopped working, and this is a whole issue they seem to have often with this machine. Multiple people talk about how the machine breaks fast and how the pump needs to be replaced within a season at least once. Check reddit about this, where multiple people complain. All in all, I wasted $150 on a machine that broke in 2 weeks, and dealt with subpar customer service.
