It's alright (read more why)
The media could not be loaded. EDIT – 7/8/23I stand corrected! This robotic pool cleaner DOES, in fact, clean the waterline after all!My wife sent me the video and photo of the Oasis Z5i cleaning the waterline. She spends much more time at the pool (reading) than I do, I only clean it, so she's able to see the robot perform in all its glory :DI am leaving the old review for reference only.---In general, this robotic pool cleaner is “alright”.Know that if you have a LINER in your pool, this robotic cleaner IS NOT FOR YOU. Keep reading to understand why. Here are some pros and cons:Pros:- Incredibly easy to use. Plug it in and press the giant button. That's it. No timers, no extra buttons, no multiple options for cleaning. Just press and forget.- Very easy to clean. Accessing the cartridge filters is very easy. Use a hose on Shower mode to clean the filters.- It can connect to wireless if you're into that type of features. The mobile app lets you see how long it will take to finish the cleaning process. - Incredibly long cable. My pool is 24'x40' and it reaches even the furthest end.- It cleans very well. It picks up all the leaves at the bottom of the pool.Cons:- It DOES NOT clean the waterline because it slides off the liner when trying to go up, it just doesn't have enough traction. Plus, the jet isn't powerful enough to get the robot to the waterline.- It does not go over acute curved corners, it just slips off the liner.- Coiling the power cable for storage is royal PIA because it's so long. Have some patience when coiling the cable.- The mobile app is useless. At first, it was cool to see how long the robot was going to take to finish cleaning the pool, but after a couple of times, I stopped using it. Trying to control the robot with the virtual “joystick” is worthless, the response time is way too long, and you can't tell which end of the robot is the front especially if the water is moving on the surface: when you try to go forward, it goes backward, or turns the other way you were expecting.Other things to consider:- It's very heavy when getting it out of the water, so be careful. Once you get it out, just lean the robot on the edge of the pool for 10 seconds to let the water drain. It will get a lot lighter after that.- You don't have to get the app if you don't want to, it's not needed for the robot to work.- It has not particular cleaning pattern to clean your pool, it just randomly goes in any direction. This makes you question if the robot is really going to pass over the entirety of the pool, so then you think that in 4 hours is more than enough time to go through the entire pool and the walls. Right?- I purchased a socket to cover the end of the power supply cable to protect it from dust and dirt getting it. Amazon doesn't carry it. Search online for “Maytronics Dolphin 5020011 Amphenol Socket for Power Supply”.I gave it 3 stars because:1. It's very easy to use.2. It's very easy to clean.3. My wife is happy with it :p

Excellent Pool Vacuum
I have had this vacuum for a little over a month now and have been VERY impressed with it. This is the 3rd Dolphin I've had. First was the Nautilus (7 years), then the Quantum (3 weeks - Stayed stuck on the drains so returned it), now the Oasis Z5i. After I had returned the Quantum, the pool didn't get cleaned so it was pretty trashed by the time the Oasis arrived. I plugged it up, threw it in, and let it do its thing. After the 2.5 hours of cleaning, the pool looked GREAT. I did like the large basket on the Quantum but the Oasis has not failed yet to get every bit of trash has has blown into the pool. And I have lots of tress around so the pool gets trashed pretty quick after a windy day.Unlike the Quantum, it goes over the drains without any issue. The advanced CleverClean navigation technology is obviously better than the older technology. It cleans with a much more methodical approach leaving no floor surface untouched. The only con I have is the remote driving via the smartphone is slow to respond but I haven't really had a need to use it so it's not a problem. I do like the wifi capabilities of of the Oasis. I can start, stop, and have multiple options for schedule recurring cleaning (not just for one week) via the app.It comes with a set of super fine filters so don't order them. While the Quantum is a quality product and would have worked well had it not had the drain issue, I am much happier with the Oasis with the smartphone capabilities and the latest navigation CleverClean technology. To sum things up, the Oasis has worked flawlessly. I highly recommend it.

SIMPLY DOES THE JOB
My Hayward Tiger Shark bit the dust after 12 years of fateful service, RIP old friend. Now for my new Dolphin Oasis Z5i. I did a lot of research I mean a lot. Time after time Dolphins came out on top. I decided on the Dolphin Oasis Z5i. Right out of the box I put it to work in my 18X36 inground pool. After programming it to my IPhone and registering it on line for the 3 year warranty. It works great on the floor, climbs the walls and scrubs the waterline. I played with the manual steering via my Iphone, it works but it’s going to take some getting use to. For $899 I’m more than happy with my purchase. The seller was great getting it to me in under 48 hours after I placed my order. Time will tell if it last as long as my retired Hayward, but as of now I’m more than happy with the Dolphin Oasis Z5i and the seller👍👍👍👍👍

Does it’s job
This robot was purchased for our new inground pool. When the pool was first opened this spring it would cling the walls very well, but after we took a brush and went down all the walls once it’s started climbing much better. Water line cleaning is hit and miss, it does do it though just not everywhere. It will also only go up 1 of our 3 steps going into the pool in the shallow end.All in all though, it does a great job and cleans up a ton of yuck off the bottom of your pool floor, and better yet, keeps it from having to go through your pools filter!
