This is a no nonsense choice. Especially for someone that doesn't know how to boil water correctly.

It's a metal plate with holes. It's not complicated. But if you have a hard time remembering how much spaghetti you need to put in the pot for the number of people in your family, this is very helpful. If you never entertain, and suddenly find yourself with 4 people at your table, this is for you. More seriously, this is a pretty useful, inexpensive little tool for measuring out your spaghetti. I tend to make much more pasta than I should, and then I overeat because I tend to eat what's in front of me. This cuts down on the amount of food I cook and waste. It doesn't cost much and doesn't take up much space. Well worth the cost.

This is an ok measurer, but the holes seem bigger than a normal serving

Simple straight forward widget for proportional control of the "PASTA". Smaller pasta will make more so be aware not to make too much of the thin spaghetti, or you end up like Garfield

Yes, I love this thing!! It takes all the guess work out of how much spaghetti do I need?! I'm usually just making the portion for two and it has been great! I've done it for three as well as tried fettuccine noodles, and it has worked out well each time. Happy customer! Already bought for others and they also enjoy!

I've read that a single serving of spaghetti is two ounces. If you fill up the ONE SERVING hole with sphaghetti you will end up 3.85 ounces of spaghetti. That said, I was using thin spaghetti (not angel hair) so maybe that played a part, IDK but tend to doubt it. It's very sturdy and very practical, just weigh everything after you use this for measuring so you have an idea of what the measurement actually is. Would buy again.

We live in the country so we buy as much as we can in bulk. I like the concept of this but didn’t realize by the measure holes it does not have the size. So I guess at the amount. I would guess the first smallest hole is equivalent to 12 oz package of spaghetti. I’m going to buy different sizes of spaghetti to measure and etch it so I don’t have to guess. When I do I will update which holes are what measurements. The item is good quality.

I need a spaghetti measurer, and this one was so easy to use. Perfect size and a great value for the money made out of stainless steel. It is dishwasher safe.

No complaints. Made of metal and very sturdy. Now I know what one serving is. Before it was hit and miss all the time. After a few uses, you can adjust to a little more or less than the measurements.

Portions were somewhat small for my family, but it works very well once we figured out what amount we want and can then repeat that amount each time.
