Roxanne Glue-Baste-It Temporary Basting Glue with 2-Way Applicator, 1.5oz

My daughter told me about this product. She uses it to baste the small pieces in making lingerie. It was indispensable in finishing a Fun N Done quilt project I had started years ago but laid it aside. The basting glue certainly saved me from some major headaches in joining the rows together on the Fun N Done quilt. I like how it doesn't leave a gummy residue on my mini iron when I'm heat setting the seam after using the glue. It isn't a permanent glue so it will wash out no problem but it is so much better than pins when you need something to stay secure while sewing. I make sure I keep plenty on hand at all times.

This glue is wonderful!! I have been using it to glue down the edge of fabric, for "turned-edge" applique. It has been saving me so much time! The glue is thin, but very strong. I have been able to use it to hold down the applique shapes, while I am hand-sewing the shape to the background fabric. This glue works so much better than pins!! I usually needle-turn my applique because I like the softness of the finished project. This glue completely washes out, leaving the finished project just as soft as if it wasn't even there. My favorite of the Roxanne glues is the 2oz. Bottle with the very thin tips for dispensing glue (on the far left in the pic - I have several different applicators by Roxanne, as you can see in the picture). This product is very easy to squeeze without fatigue, but I don't care for the tips on this product as much as do the regular squeeze bottle. I highly recommend Roxanne's Glue Baste-It! Worked exactly as I needed it to. Only problem was, when it arrived the cap had come off and half the glue was over the packaging.

I purchased this based on the recommendation of a popular YouTube quilting expert, and while the product itself is wonderful, I was shocked at how quickly it gets used up. I had to buy TWO tubes of this just to baste trim on a queen sized quilt and both tubes were completely used by the time I finished. That’s PRICEY. :/

This glue is easy to apply to a seam and it held my binding in place making it easier to quilt

So far, I have used it putting together a quilt, helping to add some bring to a poster for my daughter, fraying hem on a skirt(sometimes there is no time, and I can be lazy-I still haven't sewn it) it held together the side of "Mrs. Bunny" while I repaired her....2 sided applicator fine and thick. REALLY GOOD STUFF

I haven't had a chance to try this glue, but I'm already unimpressed by the packaging. This glue isn't cheap by my standards and it just got more expensive per ounce because 25% was spilled during shipping. I read reviews that said it was a great product, but the packaging needs work.

The product delivered was leaking the glue at one end.
