Short passages, including non-fiction & articles on science & history, with good response questions. I use both the 3rd-grade & 4th-grade books as morning work with my 4th graders (about 50% of them below grade level). Finally a book that’s worth it. Most grade level books sold online seem to be far short of what they’re actually doing/learning in class. This book is the first time where I felt passages and questions were at least somewhat on par. My only issue is that they need more lines to answer the questions. My kids handwriting isn’t the best so he needs extra room. Easy fix just having an extra notebook nearby but still.
