This is really amazing. I was skeptical buying it but after getting it I am really happy. Such a great value. I bought this to use as a quarantine tank for a sick neon tetra. It’s a beautiful tank and it is made very well. The filter is super effective and cute as well and the light is perfect. It came with two bags of gravel and a bag if rocks. Those were really good quality as well. Overall this is definitely a five star product. I have it sitting next to my 36 gallon bowfront tank. It’s a good size for being only 2.5 gallon. It’s perfect for what I need it for. After my fish is all better I plan on keeping this little tank going, it’s just too cute to put away. I have noticed no leaks and it’s very very quiet especially compared to a large system. It looks very easy to clean and it’s just great!Also the back glass is tinted black which really makes everything pop and you don’t have to buy a background for it. I honestly have nothing negative to say about it, it’s just awesome!

My little beta has been through many little plastic tanks. I decided I wanted to upgrade and purchase one with a filtration system to help keep the water cleaner between water cycles. The filtration system will be perfect for helping keep the tank clean. I did purchase the filters extra on the side and they were fairly inexpensive. My little beta is loving his new home. This tank is beautiful! Much better appearance and quality than the plastic tanks I have used before. This is actual glass. I was also amazed at how clear and bright the water/look of the tank was when I came into my office today. This is the perfect size for my office desk. The filter is quiet and doesn’t distract my work.

So far, great! Easy enough set up. Great size. Great quality. I added a thermometer and it fit right in there. The fish transitioned in so easily and has been very active for these 2 days. Looks great,Update: 11 ish days in still perfectly clear with a happy fish. No problems.

As someone who has kept aquariums for most of my life, I was actually pretty surprised with the quality of this little tank setup, given it's price and that it's not a household brand. It's a good micro tank and comes with everything you need, although, I did end up replacing the light with something better for my planted tank. No leaks. The back wall of the tank is darkened which I think makes it look sleek. Only thing I would change is the tank lid - it feels cheap but it works. There is a strange circle "lid cover" which basically just sits on t the top hole, but there is no lip or anything so it never feels like it's on well and I occasionally have to adjust it to keep it from sliding off. The filter works fine so far - can't speak to the actual filter medium since I make my own. It's a nice little tank and I recommend to anyone who needs a shrimp or fry tank.

This is the perfect tank for my fish and I absolutely love the look of it! Totally worth the purchase and my fishie and my little snail ate so happy in this tank. My fishie is way more active, friendly, and comes out to say hi every time I come check in on him and my snail. The filter functions well but is not the best filter but it doesn’t matter if you have live plants because the plants keep the water crystal clear and calls for way less water changes. I highly recommend this tank and to get some live plants to put in it as well! Also the lid for the opening isn’t the best but I found a lid to a jar that fits like a glove. The circular lid is a random piece of plastic. I recommend finding a different covering for the top of the tank. The lid on the tank is what I put that fit perfect the circle plastic is what came with the tank and I didn’t like it and got lucky and found the jar lid that fits like a glove. That would be my only issue because other thank that, this tank is perfect for my fishie, snail and myself!

I love everything about this tank! Everything that I needed for this tank was included. I added live plants and additional rocks and a little cave for my Betta. My husband loves the way it looks. I originally bought this tank to keep my Betta in till his 10 gal tank was cycled. But I love it so much, I had to put something in it. So it now has some shrimp. I would highly recommend this as a beginner tank! It's quiet and looks great. I kept the light on about 6 hrs a day and that kept the water at about 74 degrees. I was worried at first that I needed a heater, but it wasn't necessary and my Betta flourished!

What a great little kit! NICREW has put together a nearly perfect nano aquarium kit at this price point. Packaging is very high quality.Happy to see the back glass already painted black and the cute little filter is completely silent, adequate for this tank size.The included LED light is very bright (but does get hot to the touch). I think it will help grow a number of different plants without issue.This is perfect for a shrimp-only tank or potentially keeping a single smaller sized Betta.Only thing that would make this kit 100% complete would be including a small basic heater, but even as-is it's a solid deal for a rimless with all that's included.If NICREW starts making larger sized aquarium kits such as this one in 10-40 gallon sizes...I will instantly buy multiple!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:First and foremost the tank itself appears to be very well made. It looks great, the seals are solid, and the glass is clear. The black background is quite nice too. The filter works quietly and had enough space for me to add in my own pre-established filter media. The light leaves a bit to be desired. It is not very strong and has no built in timer. I also think it is worth mentioning that this size freshwater tank is probably best for shrimp / snails only. If you are looking for a kit as new fish keeper, you should look for something larger.
